Theresa L. Seymour

Morrisonville — Mrs. Theresa L. Seymour, 84, of Mason Street, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Champlain, N.Y., on Dec. 27, 1918, the daughter of Warren and Eva (Brisson) LaRocque.

Theresa grew up in Clayton, N.Y., and Duncan, Okla., and had made her home in Morrisonville since 1933.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.

She was a member of St. Alexander’s Church Morrisonville.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents Warren and Eva LaRocque; two sisters, Alice and Leona; and a brother, Stewart.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald G. Seymour of Morrisonville; her son, David W. Seymour and his wife Judith of Morrisonville; a daughter, Brenda Jean "BJ" and her husband Floyd A. Rock of Morrisonville; five grandchildren; Darren Seymour, Todd Seymour, Sara Ann St. Louis, Bridget Ann Lavigne and Molly Jean Rock; ten great-grand-children; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander’s Church, Morrisonville.

Friends wishing may make donations to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9929.

Donald Lincoln Burke

AuSable Forks — Donald Lincoln Burke, 72, of AuSable Forks, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after an extended battle with cancer.

He was born in Berkeley, Mass., on March 30, 1930.

He was a very kind man who liked to be called simply "Burke".

He retired from the Army after 20 years of service.

He was also an avid baseball fan and had played semi-pro ball in his youth.

He is survived by his son, Dwight and daughter-in-law, Peggy and granddaughters, Nikki, Sara and Erinn Burke, all of Douglasville, Ga; his son, Douglas and daughter-in-law Karen Burke of Phoenix, Ariz.; his son, Stephen Dale Burke and daughter-in law, Diane Burke and grandchildren, Stephanie and Corey of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; his son Michael John Burke of Crown Point, N.Y. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Karen Estelle Burke of AuSable Forks and her children, Christopher Sidney and Heidi Kathryn Burke, who he felt like were his own children, of AuSable Forks, N.Y.

Family will receive friends and visitors on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens. Services will immediately follow at 6 p.m.

Thelma I. Lesperance

Lewis — Thelma I. Lesperance, 78, of Horace Nye Home died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003.

She was born in Essex, N.Y., Oct. 9, 1924, the daughter of Elman and Ida Clark.

She is survived by four sons, Arthur Lesperance and Byron Lesperance both of Lewis, Danny Lesperance of Port Henry and Roy Lesperance of Elizabethtown; and close family friends Louis and Tammy LaRose of Westport.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m. at W.M. Marvins Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held in Lewis Cemetery in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to Louis LaRose, RRI Box 1185, Ledge Hill Road, Westport, NY 12993, for the care of the Lesperance family.

Cherie A. Andrews, 43, of Lewiston, Maine, and formerly of Malone, N.Y., died unexpectedly, Jan. 25, 2003 in Lewiston.

She was born in Frump, Nev., on June 12,1959, she was the daughter of Leslie F. and Eleanor (LaRoe) Andrews Sr.

Calling hours will be in the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, I0 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. John Bosco Cemetery, Malone in the spring.
