Pete Caporale

Peru — Pete Caporale, 88, formerly of the Hallock Hill Road, Peru and Hawthorne, N.Y., died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at the Volunteer Fireman's Home in Hudson, N.Y.

He was born in Stanford, Conn., on March 30, 1914.

Mr. Caporale served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany, France and Italy.

He retired from Mount Pleasant Central School District and was also employed with Green Thumb in Plattsburgh.

Pete was a charter member of the Moose Lodge in White Plains, charter member of the Plattsburgh Italian American Club, a 22-year member of the Hawthorne Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the American Legion Post 12 in Hawthorne. He was also a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Peru.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Peter Caporale of Wappingers Falls, Vincent and Rita Caporale of Hawthorne and Raymond and Elise Caporale of Essex Junction, Vt.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Caporale of Schenectady; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Olive I. Caporale, on Sept. 4, 2002.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. William Reamer, chaplain at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, officiating.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Volunteer Fireman's Home, 125 Harry Howard Ave., Hudson, NY 12534-1601.

Lloyd Lancelot Hall

Peasleeville — Lloyd Lancelot Hall, 86, of Guideboard Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at his home in Elizabethtown after a long illness. He was a resident of Peasleeville for 35 years.

He was born on Aug. 28, 1916, in Sublet, Idaho, the son of Morgan and Ellen (Frasure) Hall, who moved from Kentucky in 1914 to homestead in Idaho.

He served in the 4th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army and participated in the D-day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. His occupations include farmer, cowboy, sheepherder, bank teller and machinist.

He retired from Grumman Aircraft Corp. in 1967. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. After retirement, he enjoyed cross country traveling with his family.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald Hall of Denver, Colo., and Jeffrey and Dianne Hall of Peasleeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Dana Stanley of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His wife, Dorothea McGee Hall, whom he married Aug. 3, 1945, predeceased him, as did four brothers, Cordell, Glen, Clay and Wade and a sister, Olive.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the Westport Bible Church in Westport on Jan. 18, 2003, at 2 p.m.

Donations in his memory can be made to the High Peaks Hospice in Mineville.

Zaumetzer - Sprague Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Estelle A. Latulipe, 75, of Wellington Street, Malone, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at her home.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1927, in Bombay, N.Y., on the family farm on the Cold Springs Road, the daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Quenneville) Latulipe.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church in Malone, with Rev. Kris Lauzon officiating. Spring burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bombay, N.Y.
