Fred E. "Duke" Duquette

Sciota — Fred E. "Duke" Duquette, 77, of Sciota, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Chateaugay on March 2, 1925, the son of Harry P. and Edna (Crawford) Duquette.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific Theatre and was a member of the 2nd Marine Division 3rd Battalion. He was employed as a steamfitter and foreman for Local 773 in Glens Falls for many years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125 and American Legion Post 20 in Plattsburgh. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fly fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Bushey) Duquette of Sciota; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Robert and Lisa Boulrice of Altona and Jody Allen and Julie Boulrice of West Chazy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Robin Aguglia of Point au Roche and Brenda Lee Duquette-Berry and her husband Benjamin of Tully; a brother and sister-in-law, Clark and Margaret Duquette of Peru; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucille and Frank Rabideau of Plattsburgh, Joan Theroux of Maryland and Berdina Rabideau of Plattsburgh; three grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Boulrice, Eric James Boulrice and Rachel Elizabeth Berry; and several nieces and nephews.

His identical twin brother Leonard died before him. Another brother, Harry Duquette and a sister, Edna Provost, also died earlier.

There will be no calling hours or services.

Memorial donations may be made to the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Department.

The E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Dorazio

Seymour, Conn. — Patricia A. "Pat" Dorazio, 61, of Balance Rock Road, entered into rest Dec. 17, 2002, at her home with her devoted family by her side.

She was born July 25, 1941, in Mineville, N.Y., beloved daughter of Yolanda (Desimone) Lahtinen of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and the late John Lahtinen.

Patricia was a resident of Seymour since 1986 and was a communicant of The Church of the Good Shepherd. She was an employee in the credit department of Huffman Koos Furniture and the former Wayside Furniture store in Milford for the past 16 years. Patricia's greatest passion was her love for her grandchildren.

Besides her mother, she leaves her loving family including two sons, Michael Dorazio and his wife Maureen of Seymour and James Dorazio and his wife Melinda of Oxford; two brothers, John Lahtinen and his wife Eleanor of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and James Lahtinen and his wife Maureen of Rochester, N.Y.; two sisters, Linda Slattery and her husband Tom of Portchester, N.Y., and Joanne Lahtinen of Governeur, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Richard and Michael Dorazio of Seymour and Anthony and Nicholas Dorazio of Oxford; also many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20th, at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to The Church of the Good Shepherd, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.

Ruth Goddeau, 74, of Sand Road in Morrisonville, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1927, in Dannemora, N.Y.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time with the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Elizabeth Merwin, 90, of Blooming Grove, N.Y., died Dec. 18, 2002, at the Orange County Residential Care Facility.

She was born in Chazy, N.Y., on Oct. 20, 1912, the daughter of Melvin and Harriet (Bushey) Recor.

Visiting hours are on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville. Burial will be in the spring at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Plattsburgh.

Anna Mae McDonald, 93, formerly of Chateaugay, died Dec. 19, 2002, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Plattsburgh.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Chateaugay Funeral Home, Chateaugay.
