Published: 11/14/02Marilyn Lucia ZielkeOrlando, Fla. — Marilyn Lucia Zielke, 61, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at her home. Marilyn was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Aug. 18, 1941, the daughter of Morris and Marion (Goodale) Lucia. She graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1959. Marilyn had been a resident of Orlando since 1973 and retired from Valencia College, where she was an assistant purchasing agent. She was past president of the Porsche Club of Central Florida. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Orlando. Marilyn enjoyed music, art, traveling, friends and family. She was a fantastic cook and hostess. She is survived by her husband, Volker Zielke of Orlando; a daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Bill Pence; two grandchildren, Will and Kate Pence of Orlando; a sister and brother-in-law, Muriel and Edward Oakley of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and a brother and sister-in-law, Jane and Morris G. Lucia Jr., of Winter Haven, Fla.; and cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Orlando. Interment will be at a later date. Friends may make donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720. The Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Orlando was in charge of arrangements. Robert L. KlineLyon Mountain — Robert L. Kline, 72, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Lyon Mountain on March 3, 1930, the son of Roland and Laura (Bowden) Kline. He was a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Corrigidor during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kirk and Sue Kline of Canandaigua, N.Y., Ralph Kline of Canandaigua, Alan and Pam Kline of Idaho; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Kevin Trombley of Morrisonville; a brother, Dale Kline of Lyon Mountain; a sister, Estelle Kourofsky of Lyon Mountain; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Larry Kline and a daughter Gwen Mancini, died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Lyon Mountain Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Lyon Mountain Protestant Cemetery. Russell J. QuilliamPLATTSBURGH — Russell J. Quilliam, 73, of 43 Johnson Ave., died Tuesday evening, Nov. 12, 2002, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington, Vt. He was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 28, 1928, the son of J. Archibald and Cora (Jabaut) Quilliam. Mr. Quilliam married the former Betty LeBlanc at Our Lady of Victory Church, Plattsburgh in 1971. His first wife, the former Alberta Hobbs, died in 1970. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, American Legion Post 20 and former Legion color guard member, a life member of the North Country AMVETS and the Plattsburgh Moose Lodge 2390. Mr. Quilliam was employed at Imperial Wallpaper Co. as an electrician for 39½ years, retiring in 1990. Survivors include his wife Betty; one son, John Quilliam and his wife Christal of West Chazy; five daughters, Pam Dinning and her husband Chris of Tennessee, Carol Young and her husband Ronald of Beatrice, Neb., Sally Hues of Keeseville, Nancy Depo and her husband Chuck of West Chazy and Dawn Irwin and her husband Earl of Peru; one brother, Donald Quilliam of Milford, Conn.; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildrenand several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Helen Moller and Mildred Raymond died earlier. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A vigil service will be held at 3 p.m., American Legion services at 7 p.m. and Moose Lodge services at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, followed by burial in St. Peter's Cemetery. Louella M. "Lou" MillerPlattsburgh — Mrs. Louella M. "Lou" Miller, 74, of Aspen Court, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at her home. She was born in West Chazy, N.Y., on May 13, 1928, the daughter of William J. and Eva Mae (Lucia) Clukey. Lou enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing bingo. She had been manager of the restaurant at Kings's Department Store. Lou was predeceased by her parents; a son, Lloyd Miller; a sister, Veronica Hill; and a brother, Leo Clukey. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert A. Miller of Plattsburgh; three sons, Floyd Miller and his wife Alice of Tucson, Ariz., Boyd Miller of Governeur, N.Y., Ron Miller of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Harold Clukey and his wife Madeline of Virginia Beach, Va.; her sisters, Ola Lamay of Largo, Fla., Olive Cosgrove and her husband Edward of Durham, N.C., Edna Demary and her husband Harry of Greer, S.C., Caroline Ralls of Texarkana, Ark., Elizabeth Cole and her husband Edwin of Plattsburgh; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 9 a.m. from Peter's Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends wishing may have Masses said in her memory. Donald J. Forrett, 69, formerly of Ellenburg, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at the Albany Medical Center. He was born in Ellenburg Depot on June 21, 1933, the son of William and Agnes (Wright) Forrett. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Friday, from St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Robert C. Parent, 78, of Plattsburgh, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Arrangements were incomplete Wednesday evening at the O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. |
