Amsterdam, N.Y. — Dora "Doris" Hurlburt, 93, of Amsterdam, N.Y., formerly of Champlain, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Mount Loretto Nursing Home in Amsterdam.

She was born on July 19, 1909, to the late Alfred and Adeline (Patneaude) Bushey.

She married Richard Hurlburt on Oct. 12, 1938, at Holy Angels Church in Altona. He passed away on Dec. 14, 1986.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who will be sadly missed by all of her family.

She is survived by five children, Lucy M. Hurlburt of Dover Plains, N.Y., Richard A. Hurlburt of Dover Plains, N.Y., Edward Hurlburt of South Kent, Conn., Betty Ann Powers of Duanesburg, N.Y., and Judy Russell of Wassaic, N.Y. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great - great - grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, Dora was also predeceased by a son, Walter Hurlburt, who passed away in 1996.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Church in Altona. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
