Karen Fitzpatrick Molholsky

KEESEVILLE — Karen Fitzpatrick Molholsky, 64, of Thompson Road, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 19, 1937, the daughter of Alban J. and Kathryn Maude (O’Donahoe) Fitzpatrick.

Karen attended Russell Sage College in Troy and graduated from Potsdam State University.

She married Richard S. Molholsky on Aug. 13, 1961, at St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville. She was a schoolteacher, having taught at Gouverneur Central School and AuSable Valley Central School.

Mrs. Molholsky was a member of St. Augustine’s Church in Peru, a past member of the Keeseville Youth Commission, a board member of the Peru Central School Federal Credit Union, a trustee for the USS Lake Champlain Foundation, and a member of the newly formed chapter of the Red Hat Society, the Adirondack Roadrunners.

Survivors include her husband, Richard S. Molholsky of Keeseville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Martha and Terry Maczko of Bel Air, Md., Kathryn and Mark Kish of Auburn, Mass., and Beth Molholsky and her friend, Michael Turner, of Feura Bush, N.Y.; one sister, Terry Smallacombe of New Hope, Pa.; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael Patrick, Rachel, Anastasia and Brendan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Ann Marie Fitzpatrick and Judy Gooley.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine’s Church in Peru. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Keeseville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

Paschal A. LaBounty

PLATTSBURGH — Paschal A. "Pat," "Sonny" LaBounty, 83, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born on April 23, 1919 in Plattsburgh, the son of Alfred and Ethel (Monty) LaBounty.

Paschal had been employed by B&O Railroad in Maryland and transferred to Delaware and Hudson Railroad in Plattsburgh. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. Paschal was a carpenter who enjoyed working with his hands.

Paschal is survived by his wife, Geraldine E. (Sommers) LaBounty; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Carol LaBounty of Plattsburgh and Paschal and Carolyn LaBounty Jr. of Plattsburgh; four grandchildren, Shawn, Angelina, Stacy and
Terri-Jo; a great-granddaughter, Myra; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances Brelia of Vermont, Victoria "Pee Wee" Dyer of Plattsburgh, Joyce and Alton Bushey of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.

Paschal was predeceased by two sisters, Isabelle Robare and Gladys Jerry, and a brother, Clayton LaBounty.

Calling hours for the family only will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Cadyville Protestant Cemetery in Cadyville. The family requests flowers in his memory.

Duane Darrah

PLATTSBURGH — Duane Darrah, 44, of Smith Street, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 26, 1958, son of Kenneth H. and Doris E. (Robinson) Darrah.

Duane was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School, a graduate of Clinton Community College and SUNY Plattsburgh with a B.A. degree in accounting. He was an avid reader and bingo player.

Duane is survived by nine brothers and sisters and their spouses: Ethel and James (Belgarde) Joyce of Washingtonville, Dolores Moses of Peru, Deborah and Ronald Duell of Plattsburgh, Kenneth T. and Mary Darrah of Plattsburgh, Tanya and Gary LaFountain of Plattsburgh, Lonnie and Gary Bedard of Plattsburgh, Roseva and Garen Arnold of Peru, Calvin Darrah of Plattsburgh, Kimberly and Donald Moyer of Milton, and many nieces and nephews.

Duane was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Roland Belgarde.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. Following cremation, burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

LEONARD ‘JOE’ CAYEA, 62, of Anderson Road, North Bangor, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.

Born in Plattsburgh on June 10, 1940, he was the son of Lawrence and Julia (Gregory) Cayea.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Chateaugay Funeral Home.
