Published: 09/15/02Margaret E. HallRouses Point — Margaret E. Hall, 81, formerly of Ellenburg and currently making her home with her daughter in Rouses Point, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, N.Y. She was born in Ellenburg Center, N.Y., on Aug. 3, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Rollo) LaBarre. She was married to Benjamin Hall on Dec. 23, 1944, in Springfield, Mass., by Rev. LaClair. He predeceased her on March 23, 1997. Mrs. Hall is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Pat Hall of Grapevine, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia Hall of Rouses Point, N.Y., and Adele and Saul Shapiro of Newton, Mass.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Hall, Stuart and Patrick Curran and Emma Rose Shapiro; two great-grandchildren, Julia Mae Curran and Kate Riley Curran; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Frank and Rita LaBarre of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Lawrence and Lois LaBarre of Sun City, Fla., Leonard and Marie LaBarre of Ellenburg, N.Y., and Donald LaBarre of Syracuse, N.Y.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mina Robare of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Pearl and David Vanderwalker of St. Regis Falls, N.Y. Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by her parents and a sister, Madora Cheyne. Mrs. Hall was a member of St. Edmund’s Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 15th, from 2 to 4 p.m. only. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, in St. Edmund’s Church with Rev. Joseph Wheelock officiating. Burial will take place at St. Edmund's Cemetery, Ellenburg. Donations in her memory may be made to Lupus Foundation of America, PO Box 115, Waterbury, VT 05676 or St. Edmund's Altar and Rosary Society. Dolores M. MonzPlattsburgh — Mrs. Dolores M. Monz, 72, of Pine Street in Plattsburgh, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sept. 3, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ellen (Richards) Yuditsky. Dolores is survived by her husband of 51 years, Michael J. Monz Sr., whom she married on May 26, 1951; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Pat Monz of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Robert Murray of Franklin Square, N.Y., and Mary Ellen and David Smith of Fairfield, N.Y.; one sister, Marie Yuditsky of Long Island; one daughter-in-law, Pamela Monz of Plattsburgh; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive her. Dolores is predeceased by her parents; one son, Wayne Monz; and two brothers, Walter Yuditsky and Joseph Yuditsky. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. The Monz family would like to extend a thank you to the employees on the second floor Step Down Unit and the ICU unit at CVPH Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
