Published 09/03/02Virginia M. ManorPLATTSBURGH — Virginia M. Manor, 91, of Durand Street, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Beekmantown on May 14, 1911, the daughter of the late Amos and Josephine (Smart) Manor. Virginia loved flower gardening. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Mary Immaculate Chapter #479, and Clinton County Senior Citizens. She is survived by five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Leona O’Connell of Cadyville, Beatrice Brown of Cadyville, Hazel Manor of East Haven, Conn., Selma and Harmon Fordham of Newburyport, Mass., Ruth and Edward Swasey of Chandler, Ariz., several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Raymond Manor. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6 from St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dannemora. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice or Masses. Irma O. BlaiseKEESEVILLE — Irma O. Blaise, 83, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Wilmington on April 5, 1919, the daughter of Herbert Landon and Julia (McLean) Owen. She graduated from Keeseville High School and was employed at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh for several years until her retirement. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Senior Citizens of Keeseville. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Robert LaDuke of Dannemora, Bonnie and David Hilbert of Erie, Pa.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Maida and Raymond LeClair of Keeseville, and Mrs. Hazel LaBounty of Keeseville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. Rodney and Marilyn Owen of Lyon Mountain, Mr. Robert Owen of Keeseville, Mrs. Ethel Owen of Walton, N.Y.; an aunt, Mrs. Asemath Cordway of Keeseville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Raymond Blaise, died May 19, 1980. Her parents, two brothers — Mrs. William Owen and Mr. Hubert Owen — and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Williams, also died earlier. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9 from the Church of the Nazarene on Hill Street in Keeseville. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the committal service at St. John’s cemetery in Keeseville. The O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements. EDITH M. PRATT, 92, of Rouses Point, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002 at the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point. There will be no public calling hours. Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point. MARIE O. GOODMAN, 73, formerly of 34 Branch St., Malone, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002. She was born in Carthage on Jan. 30, 1929, the daughter of the late Francis and Ruth Holmes Oakes. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at Notre Dame Church in Malone. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
