Published 08/30/02Duane M. Stevenson Sr.MINEVILLE, N.Y. — Duane M. Stevenson Sr., 63, of Wall Street, Mineville, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at the Community Hospital, Elizabethtown, N.Y. He was born on Feb. 4, 1940, at Mineville, N.Y., the son of Jacob and DeElda (Colburn) Stevenson. Duane was employed at the AuSable Club, St. Huberts, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Dianne (Vaughn) Stevenson; his sons, Jacob Stevenson and his wife, Tammy Stevenson of Mineville, N.Y., and Duane Stevenson Jr. and his girlfriend, Diana Taylor of Schroon Lake, N.Y.; his daughters, Tammy Sherman and her husband, Richard Sherman Jr., Mineville, N.Y., Tracy Sherman and her husband, Craig Sherman of Mineville, N.Y.; his sister, Vaughn Arno of Mineville, N.Y.; his brother, Robert Stevenson of Mineville, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry, N.Y. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at 10 a.m. at the Union Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y. Rev. George Richards officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Duane’s family. Debra A. Mason, 48, of the Brand Hollow Road, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, surrounded by her loving family at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Peru, with Rev. Vincente Jazmines, pastor, celebrating. HEBERT, 79, of South Peru Street, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at her residence following a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 13, 1922, in West Chazy, N.Y., the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Lucia) LaPier. Arrangements are incomplete with the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Genevieve Cavallo, age 81, of Bloomingdale Avenue, Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at the Adirondack Medical Center at Saranac Lake. She was born in Utica, N.Y., on April 3, 1921, the daughter of Gerard and Rocatella (Ergo) Cavallo. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Church, with Father Timothy Soucy officiating. Gregware, 74, of Cumberland Head, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at Fletcher - Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. Placid Duheme, 71, of the Callahan Road, Burke, died Aug. 29, 2002, at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, N.Y. He was born in Burke, N.Y., on April 29, 1931, the son of Clarence and Aldina (Duval) Duheme. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer vigil service will be at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Ray Moreau and the Knights of Columbus. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, in St. George’s Church, with Rev. Ray Moreau officiating.
