Ivan Joseph Warmuth I

Plattsburgh — Ivan Joseph Warmuth I, 80, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at Meadowbrook Health Care Facility in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

He was born Dec. 4, 1921, International Falls, Minn., to, George A,. and Emma (Brisbeau) Warmuth.

Ivan served 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Captain. He was a member of the 101st Airborne and 81st Infantry and was a Paratrooper Master Jumper During World War II, he saw active duty in Europe, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He also fought in the Korean War. Ivan assisted as a Technical Director in the production of the movie "Battleground." He retired from AT&T after 20 years as an electronic engineer.

Ivan was an active member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed duplicate bridge, fishing and golf as well as spending time with his family and friends.

Ivan was predeceased by his wife, Lucy Many Warmuth, of 46 years.

Ivan is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jocelyn and Fred Prostko of Charlottesville, Va., and sons and daughters-in-law, Ivan and Martha Warmuth of Plattsburgh and Geoffrey and Lise Warmuth of Kansas City, Mo. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, sister, Marian and Wilson Elliot of Willmen, Ala., brother, Charles and Bernice Warmuth of San Diego, Calif., and brother, Richard and Joyce Warmuth of Palm Bay, Fla., as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday evening, Aug. 22, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh.

MARYANN (LETOURNEAU) lARAMEE, 59, of LaColle, Quebec, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at the hospital in St. Jean, Quebec.

She was born in Plattsburgh Feb. 4, 1943.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, in LaColle, Quebec. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Sat. Aug. 24, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Mont-de-Notre - Dame du Carmel in LaColle, Quebec.

Eddie Jones, 79, of Leonard Avenue, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at his home with his loving wife at his side.

He was born in Trenton, N.C., on June 5, 1923, son of the late Aaron Herbert and Edna (Green) Jones.

Calling hours will be Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Following cremation interment will be at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Coup" Please use the American flag symbol

Herbert W. Santor, 72, of Lovers Lane passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home.

He was born in Beekmantown on March 12, 1930, the son of Herbert and Agnes (Eckmon) Santor.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at St. Joseph’s Church West Chazy, with the Rev. Harry Giroux, pastor, celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, where Military Honors will be provided.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
