Recore, 78, of Military Turnpike, returned to the arms of God on Thursday, July 11, 2002, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. Florence was born in Cornwall, Ontario, on May 9, 1924, daughter of Mose and Alvina Waters. She was an avid "bingo" player who enjoyed reading and knitting. She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Keeseville. Florence is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Abair of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Marlene and Dennis Daniels of Plattsburgh; eight grandchildren, Pamela and Jim Raudenbush of Dannemora, Dennis and Lisa Daniels of Mount Sterling, Ohio, Cheryl Stewart of Plattsburgh, Cindy LaDuke of Oklahoma, Penny Williams of Watertown, Curtis LaDuke of Ohio, Craig LaDuke of Broken Arrow, Okla., Roy Abair of Broken Arrow, Okla.; several great - grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Stanley E. Recore; three sisters; and three brothers. Calling hours will be Saturday, July 13, 2002, from 10 a.m. to noon at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2002, at noon from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Richard Wilson from the Independent Baptist Church in Keeseville officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Sylvia C. GarrowKEESEVILLE — Sylvia C. Garrow, 73, of Hill Street, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh Nov. 8, 1928, the daughter of Lawrence and Mabel (Rinn) Macey. She married Anthony E. Garrow on June 4, 1954, at St. James Church in Cadyville. Sylvia was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville for over 40 years. Survivors include her husband of 48 years; one daughter, Sandra Garrow of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Marion and Dan Downs of Plattsburgh and Audrey Dubuque and her companion, Lloyd Stampfler of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Gervis and Helen Macey of Plattsburgh and Donald and Veronica Macey of Plattsburgh; one granddaughter, Kimberlee Kedmenec; one great - granddaughter, Kaytlyn Marie Kedmenec; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, James Macey. Calling hours were held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
