She was born on Aug. 16, 1944, in Ellenburg Center, the daughter of Earl and Jennie (Bobbie) Tourville. She owned and operated the Ellenburg Inn for many years. She was a member of the Ellenburg Democratic Committee and was active in J.C.E.O.. She was a member of St. Edmund's Church and was a former member of the Altar-Rosary Society. She is survived by a daughter and her companion, Michele Duval and Heath Begore of Mooers Forks; five stepchildren; a brother, Russell Tourville of California; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carmel and Sam King of Ellenburg Center and Bernie and Lester Peets of Ellenburg Depot; a granddaughter, Mallory Begore; eight stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Eugene Harris, died on July 19, 1997. Her parents also died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. Interment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Ellenburg Depot. Irene WilliamsMorrisonville — Irene Williams, 78, of Hillcrest Drive, Morrisonville, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh. She was born in Peru on Aug. 15, 1923, the daughter of Ernest and Betsey Martineau. She married Merritt Williams on Aug. 7, 1948, in Wilmington. Mrs. Williams was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in New Milford, Conn. She enjoyed crocheting, family gatherings, cooking for family and her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her husband of Morrisonville; one brother and sister-in-law, Hector and Rosella Martineau of Morrisonville; one sister, Marie Grenier of Winthrop; two sisters-in-law, Kay Martineau of Port Kent and Carrie Martineau of Schuyler Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Raymond, Clifford, Maynard, Bernard and Louis Martineau; and three sisters, Edna Martineau, Ethel Martineau and Evelyn Martineau. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danussi, 70, of Mohawk Road, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, Vt. He was born on Dec. 15, 1931, in Lyon Mountain, N.Y., the son of Joseph and Eliza (Dececco) Danussi. Ernest served in the U.S. Army for 24 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Goddelau, West Germany, where he met his wife Ruth, who died on April 13, 1983. Following his retirement, they moved back to the United States in 1971 and then to Plattsburgh in 1973. Ernest then worked as a mail clerk for the Plattsburgh Post Office for 15 years. He was a member of the Plattsburgh VFW Post 125 and of the American Legion in Lyon Mountain. Ernest was also a member of the North Country Vietnam Veterans Organization. Ernest was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and grandfather, who readily gave of himself for his family and friends. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and his service to his country. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Garry and Kathleen Danussi of West Chazy and Gerald and Jennifer Danussi of Hawaii; one daughter, Sonja Muller of Germany; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Kathryn Danussi of Chateaugay Lake and Joseph and Helen Danussi of Malone; five grandchildren, Kristina, Emily, Mitchell, Nicholas and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Rolf Muller; one brother, Rudy Danussi; and two sisters, Olga Blair and Clara Collins. LounsburySt. Petersburg, Fla. — William John Lounsbury died in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Saturday, July 6, 2002, after a brief illness. Formerly a resident of Keeseville and Lockport, N.Y., Bill was born on Oct. 11, 1916, in Brooklyn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lockport, a Mason with the Central City Lodge of Syracuse and a member of the Rotary of Clarence, N.Y. He was an active lay minister and twice was a missionary to Haiti. He also was a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society. Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth (Baber) Lounsbury; one son and daughter-in-law, John B. and Barbara Lounsbury of Beverly, W.Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith L. and Charles Willis of Tierra Verde, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert H. and Doris Lounsbury of Squaw Valley, Ca.; five grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Lounsbury and Michael, Susan and John Elliott; six great-grandchildren, John and Nicole Elliott, Devin and Madison Elliott, Jordan Elliott and John Andrew Creel III; two nieces and two nephews, Barbara (Safford) Smith, Mary Anne (Safford) Rolls, James Lounsbury Safford and George Lounsbury. Marjorie A. MaloneyConstable, N.Y. — Marjorie A. Maloney, 60, of Keefe Road in Constable, N.Y., died unexpectedly on Monday, July 8, 2002, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y. She was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on April 20, 1942, the daughter of Charles and Barbara (Clukey) Douglas. On Nov. 3, 1962, she was united in marriage to Richard A. Maloney at the United Methodist Church in West Chazy, N.Y. He predeceased her on April 24, 1999. Mrs. Maloney was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo, puzzles and spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Douglas of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; one son, Richard C. Maloney of Constable; two daughters, Rose Rousell and April Maloney, both of Constable; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Wayne and Angela Douglas, James Douglas and David and Sandy Douglas, all of Plattsburgh; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nancy and Wendell Burnell, Julie and James Ashline and Charlene Douglas, all of Plattsburgh; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Aug. 5, 1936, the son of Kenneth Foster and Kathryn (Sayward) Lee. Before his illness he worked as a bank courier and for most of his life he worked in the construction field. He loved to hunt and fish and was happiest in the outdoors. He lived for his grandchildren and loved NASCAR. He is survived by one daughter and her husband, Shelley and Buggy Moran; a son and his wife, Jimmy Dean and Lisa Lee; a stepson and his wife, Teddy James and Sue Lee; a sister, Annabelle Houston; a brother and his wife, Lawrence and Mary Jane Lee; a brother, Kenneth Lee Jr.; grandchildren Whitney and Shelby Moran and Maegen and Lance Lee; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and a sister, Dora Pelkey, predeceased him. PoirierHyde Park, N.Y. — Marcel O. Poirier, 63, of Hyde Park, N.Y., died July 4, 2002, at Victory Lake Nursing Home, Hyde Park, N.Y. He was born in St. Bernard, Quebec, Canada on April 14, 1939, the son of Leo Poirier and Lucie Guay. He had lived in Hyde Park for three years and previously lived in Johnsonville, N.Y. He was a retired sheet metal roofer for Ackroyd & Sons, Albany, N.Y. Mr. Poirier was a member of the Catholic faith. He married Rolande Duquette in September 1960 in Hemmingford, Quebec. She was born in Clayburg, N.Y., on Sept. 13, 1913, the daughter of the late Charles and Celina (LaFountain) Corron. Lela was retired from Diamond National after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Alexander's Catholic Church in Morrisonville. She married Henry J. Provost at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh on Sept. 21, 1931. Survivors include five sons and three daughters-in-law, Charles and Jean Provost of West Plattsburgh, Ronald and Shiela Provost of Morrisonville, Kenneth and Rita Provost of Beekmantown and Emile Provost and Henry Provost, both of West Plattsburgh; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lucille and Leon Blair of Plattsburgh, Dora Seymour of Morrisonville and Mary and Willard Stone of Beekmantown; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Florence Corron of Beekmantown; two sisters, Agnes Myers of Redford and Florence Botten of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. She was born on April 19, 1932, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the daughter of Howard and Helen (Delaney) Mullarky. Joan graduated from St. John's Academy in 1949 and married Robert E. LaGoy on April 29, 1950, at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. She was a longtime member of the Champlain Valley Quilter's Guild and volunteered at the Kent-Delord House Museum. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert of West Plattsburgh; one son, Dr. R. Gregory LaGoy of Maui, Hawaii; one daughter, Jan LaGoy Lavigne of West Plattsburgh; one brother, David Mullarky of Savannah, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Shane and Alexis. Harold P. Burnell, 71, of Charles Way, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.
