Published 06/29/02Ila CampbellSaranac — Ila Campbell, 84, of Saranac, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh surrounded by her family. She was born in Schenectady on March 28, 1918, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shultes. She was employed as the site manager for the J.C.E.O. Nutrition Program in Saranac for many years and was a R.S.V.P. volunteer for over 30 years. She was a member of the Saranac United Methodist Church. She enjoyed, hunting, fishing, knitting and the outdoors. She is survived by five sons and three daughters-in-law, Jack and Gretchen Bryant of Saranac, Russ and Peggy Bryant of Saranac, Barry Bryant and his companion, Pat DeCoste of Cadyville, Tom and Cheryl Campbell of Ellenburg and Tim Campbell and his companion, Debbie McDonald of Redford; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lloyd and Janice Carter of Saranac, Cindy Waldron and Bob Chisholm of Saranac and Harvey and Kathy Ormsbee of Baileyton, Tenn.; 27 grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Claude died in 1976; two grandchildren, Beverly and Bradley Bryant; two brothers; and two sisters also died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Neill Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Saranac United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery in Saranac. For directions and guest book, please visit www.legacy.com Carol Marie Rollier McCamishCorona, Calif. — Carol Marie Rollier McCamish, 56, passed away at her home under hospice care in Corona, Calif. on Sunday, June 23, 2002, after a brief illness. Carol was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on April 16, 1946, the daughter of Clifford and Regina (Defayette) Rollier. She married her husband, Dean on June 19, 1965, At St. Peter’s Church. The couple have resided in Southern California from that time on. She was an avid reader and music lover. Both Carol and her husband provided assistance to an orphanage in Mexico, as well as to The House of Ruth, a domestic violence agency. She was also a passionate advocate for women’s rights. Her chosen career as a dental assistant was cut short after 22 years due to recurring problems with eczema. Carol was predeceased by an older sister who died as an infant in December of 1943. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dean McCamish; two daughters and son - in - laws, Tammy and Scott Hamen, Shawna McCamish and Danesh Ratnayakage; one son and daughter - in - law, Adam and Julie McCamish; three grandchildren, Samira Ratnayakage, Lucas Hamen and Lauren McCamish, all who reside in Southern California. She is also survived by her parents, Clifford and Regina Rollier; her two brothers and sister - in - laws, Martin and Marlene Rollier and Dennis and Debbie Rollier; her two sisters and brother-in-law, Pamela and Steven Frederick and Angela Rollier who reside in Plattsburgh. A memorial service was held on June 26, 2002, at the Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, Calif. Interment is at the same location. Ralph Theodore HurlburtPLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — Ralph Theodore Hurlburt, 75, of Ollivette Place, Plattsburgh, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at his home. He was born on Oct. 18, 1926, at Florence, Vt., the son of Ralph C. and Anna (LaFountain) Hurlburt. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he served aboard the LST 519. After leaving the Navy he worked in the marble quarries at Florence, Vt. Ralph then worked as an auto mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and rebuilding older auto’s until his death. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (McKeown) Hurlburt, whom he married in Vergennes, Vt., on March 1, 1949; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald Hurlburt of Willsboro, N.Y., and Ralph Hurlburt and his wife, Wanda of Virginia Beach, Va.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Donna Graham and husband, Douglas of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Diana Violette and her husband, Robert of Albany, N.Y., Anna Arno and her husband, Charles of Mineville, N.Y., and Debra Patenaude of Crown Point, N.Y.; one sister, Virginia Barcomb of Peru, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, Robert Washburn of Crown Point, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; nine great - grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Diane; three sisters, Amelia Cote, Harriet Washburn and Theresa Atkinson; and a brother, Eugene Hurlburt. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 30, 2002, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, July 1, 2002, at 10 a.m., Church of All Saints, Mineville, with the Rev. Michael Toth officiating. Burial will follow in the South Moriah Cemetery. **Graveside Service** BARTLETT — Graveside services for Richard "Sam" Bartlett, 86, of Venice, Fla., and formerly of Ticonderoga who died Aug. 22, 2001, will be held on Monday, July 1, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga, the Rev. Robert Limpert, administrator of the Episcopal Barry House in Brant Lake officiating. Smith who died May 4, 2002, at his home surronded by his family, friends and pets. He was born Nov. 8, 1910. This celebration of Wilmer’s life will be presided over by the Rev.
