Brooke Madison Dynko

North Tonawanda, N.Y. — Brooke Madison Dynko, passed away June 26, 2002.

Beloved infant daughter of Dennis and Kimberly (Tortorice) Dynko of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; sister of Ryan Dynko; granddaughter of Sam and Nina (Insana) Tortorice of Grand Island and Jim Dynko of Peru and Barbara Dynko of Plattsburgh; great - granddaughter of Salvatore Tortorice. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and god parents.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island. Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.

Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Sister’s of Charity Hospital Special Care Nursery, 2157 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14214 or the Dynko Family.

Enola M. Szucs

PLATTSBURGH — Enola M. Szucs entered into the arms of our Lord on June 26, 2002.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1925, the daughter of Edward and Frances (Lagoy) LaBarge.

She was married to Ezra W. Boyea on April 18, 1942, the father of her children. She married John C. Szucs on Nov. 17, 1990.

She was a homemaker most of her life. Her passions in life were to cook, read, and dance.

Survivors include three daughters and their families, Faith Ann and Ralph Patnode of Altona and their children, Tammy Garrand, Pamela Blair, Darlene Garrand and Brad Patnode; Carla Garrand and her companion, Rodney Johnson from Columbia Station, Ohio; and Sheila and Christopher Babbie of Champlain and their daughters, Amy and Lori; five sisters, Irma LaClair of Plattsburgh, Morena Bretz and Howard Relation of Altona, Carol and Herbert Relation Jr. of Altona and Phyllis and Loren Parker of West Chazy; as well as several great - grandchildren; great - great - grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Ezra Boyea and John Szucs; her parents, Edward and Frances LaBarge; and her brother, Dalton LaBarge.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh, N.Y., burial will follow at the Altona Holy Angels parish cemetery in Altona, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh, N.Y., St. Anne's Shrine in Isle la Motte, VT.

John M. "Jack" Cahill

Ticonderoga — John M. "Jack" Cahill, 51, of Corning and formerly of Ticonderoga, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2002.

He was born in Ticonderoga, April 14, 1951, the son of the late John Cahill and Juanita (Robbins) Nestor of Ticonderoga.

Mr. Cahill was a resident of the Ticonderoga area for most of his life. He was a graduate of Hague High School, Class of 1970.

He was employed by Seimens, Inc. and was a member of the Steamfitter / Piper Local Union of South Glens Falls.

Mr. Cahill was a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks 1494 of Ticonderoga.

He was predeceased by one brother, Stephen Nestor.

Survivors in addition to his mother, Juanita Nestor include Michele Cahill of Ticonderoga; two sons, Jason John Cahill of Glens Falls and Paul M. Cahill of Ticonderoga; three brothers, Joe Cahill of Florida, George Nestor of Virginia and Jock Nestor of Hudson Falls. He is also survived by two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The Rev. William G. Muench, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate.

Kenneth J. Davison

Auburn, Maine — Kenneth J. Davison, 46, formerly of Rouses Point, N.Y., passed away on June 21, 2002.

He was born on July 6, 1955, in Ste. Rose, Quebec, Canada, to Ena and Newton Davison.

Among his achievements, Ken was an accomplished pilot, making his first solo flight at the age of 14.

During his career as an oil exploration crew member he circled the globe four times, working many years in the Arctic Circle, Canada, U.S. and the Middle East.

Ken is survived by his two children, May and Mike of Thailand; two big brothers, Peter and wife, Silvia of Orillia, Ontario, and Bruce and wife, Wendy of Elk Grove, Calif.; as well as four sisters, Patricia and husband, Gary Waltho of Armstrong, Ontario, Kathleen and husband, Russ Crerar of Calgary, Alberta, Brenda and husband, Joe Turner of Rouses Point, N.Y., and Joyce Demers of Auburn, Maine. Ken is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He is predeceased by his parents, Ena and Newton.

A memorial service was held on June 24, 2002, at Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel in Auburn, Maine.

McCormick — Robert J. McCormick, 77, of the Bear Swamp Road, Peru, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2002, at 3 p.m. at the Harkness United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sally White, pastor, officiating and Rev. Marion Moore - Colgan, pastor of the Poultney Vermont United Methodist Church, assisting. Masonic ritual service will be performed by members of the Ausable River Lodge 149 F&AM in Keeseville.

Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.

SMITH — A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, June 29, 2002, at the Lutheran Church of the Reedemer, 10 Adirondack Lane, for Wilmer L. Smith who died May 4, 2002, at his home surronded by his family, friends and pets. He was born Nov. 8, 1910. This celebration of Wilmer’s life will be presided by the Rev. Julie Bergdahl officiating and Barbara West, assisting minister. A violin selection will be offered by Wilmer’s grandson, James Fitzwilliam. Arrangements were with the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
