Robert James Spoor Sr.

CAMARILLO, CALIF. — Robert James Spoor Sr., 60 years of age, a resident of Camarillo, Calif., passed away Monday, June 17, 2002, in Oxnard, Calif., after a brief illness.

He was born July 31, 1941, in Oriskany Falls, N.Y.

Robert was raised in Northern New York and was employed by Clarkson University.

He semi retired to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for four years and setup home in Camarillo, Calif., to retire and play with his grandchildren.

Robert was most recently employed as a custodian for the Pleasant Valley School District.

In his spare time Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing with his dog Bruno.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carol (Rushford) Spoor of Camarillo; son, Robert James Jr. and his family, Tracey and Asandra of Selma, N.C.; daughter, Crystal Zamecnik and her family, Thomas, Tyler and Tommy of Camarillo.

At the request of Robert James Spoor Sr. there will be no funeral service.

Memorial donations maybe made to Saint John’s Regional Medical Center, 1600 North Rose Avenue, Oxnard, CA 93030.

Assisting the family with funeral arrangements is Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, 1075 E. Daily Drive, Camarillo.

Bernard Robinson

Saranac Lake — Bernard Robinson, age 84, of Lake Colby Drive, Saranac Lake, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Adirondack Medical Center.

He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on May 7, 1918, the son of Gene and Daisey (Bersette) Robinson.

He married Ruth Amidon on Dec. 22, 1945, in Saranac Lake.

Mr. Robinson graduated from Saranac Lake Central High School in 1939.

He served for a short period of time in the U.S. Calvary in 1943 in Kansas and had received a medical discharge.

He worked at the Silver and Troy Laundry in Saranac Lake from 1943 to 1967 He later worked for the New York Telephone Co. from 1967 to 1986 in Saranac Lake, N.Y. Mr. Robinson owned and operated the Palace Billiard Academy Pool Hall in Saranac Lake from 1967 to 1980.

Mr. Robinson is best known and will be remembered by family and friends for his pool playing. He was an accomplished pool player and had won many awards over the years including 1st place in the Legion Miller Hilite and later in the 8 Ball Tournament in Lake Placid, N.Y., in 1988. He also won several local tournaments in which he was selected to advanced to compete in tournaments in Las Vegas, Nev. in 1982, 1983 and 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; two sons, John B. Robinson of Chazy, N.Y., and Kent S. Robinson of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; two grandsons, Eric and his wife, Cindy of Waynesboro, Pa., and Sean of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Heather Robinson of Potsdam, N.Y.; and one great-grandson, Cody Robinson of Waynesboro, Pa. He is also survived by two sisters, Jean Suttkus of Mississippi and Helen McCabe of New Orleans.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie in 1994; and one brother, Leland Robinson in 1957.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune - Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.

Friends wishing to remember Bernard Robinson may make memorial contributions to Saranac Lake Vol. Fire Dept. Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.

Joan M. Boone Bebo

Plattsburgh — Joan M. Boone Bebo, 50, of Plattsburgh, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Plattsburgh on June 8, 1952, the daughter of Rawland and Marie (Gioiosa) Bebo.

Joan loved her horse "Gay Flairs" and enjoyed music. She owned and operated Gioiosa Liquors in Plattsburgh for several years.

She is survived by her parents, Rawland and Marie Bebo of Plattsburgh and St. Petersburg, Fla.; three brothers and a sister- in-law, Joseph and Cathy Bebo of Hudson, Mass., James Bebo of Michigan and Jess Bebo of Burlington, Vt.;, an uncle and aunt, John and Shirley Leonard of Plattsburgh; three cousins and a niece.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date from St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh at the convenience of the family.

The O'Neill - Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements.

John E. Renadette, Sr.

Ocala, Fla. — Mr. John E. Renadette Sr., 91, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Peru, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1910, son of the late Eleazer and Emma (Brown) Renadette.

John lived in Ocala, Fla., as well as Peru and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Ocala. He was a member of St. Augustine’s Church in Peru, where he was a church trustee, active on many committees and was Eucharistic Minister.

John had been employed as a school bus driver for Peru Central School, retiring in 1973. He also owned and operated a farm in Peru.

John was a member of the Holy Name Society and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Treadwells Mill.

John is survived by four sons and four daughters-in-law, John and Ursula Renadette Jr. of Ocala, Fla., Roger and MaryAnn Renadette of Ruskin, Fla., Ronald and Caroline Renadette of Summerfield, Fla., Harvey and Donna Renadette of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Ruth Everleth of Plattsburgh; 12 grandchildren; 15 great - grandchildren; one great - great - grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

John is predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Bishop) Renadette on Jan. 2, 1996; and several brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be Sunday, June 23, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, June 24, 2002, at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church in Treadwells Mill. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Michael M. Farnsworth, 66, of the Lake Shore Road, Westport, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at his, home under the care of his family and High Peaks Hospice.

Arrangements are incomplete with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Westport.
