Mac J. Lancto

Plattsburgh — Mac J. Lancto, 93, of Plattsburgh, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Lyon Mountain on April 26, 1909, the son of Nelson and Delphine (Sorrell) Lancto.

He was employed for over 40 years at New York Telephone in Plattsburgh, where he begin as a lineman and retired as a line supervisor. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Irene (Benware) Lancto of Plattsburgh; a daughter, Barbara Reynolds of Winooski, Vt.; two sisters, Eunice LaMountain of Plattsburgh and Magdelina Porter of Plattsburgh; three grandchildren, Michael and Donna Babcock of Liverpool, N.Y., Dale Babcock of Galveston, Texas, and Lori and Jack Moran of Houston, Texas; a great - grandson, Jonathan Moran; and several nieces and nephews.

His brother, Clifford Lancto; and sisters, Vivian Miller, Lillian Mahar and Leona all died earlier.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the O’Neill - Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Interment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. A reception will follow the committal service at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall in Treadwells Mill.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country.

Kevin Robert Lynch

Clinton, N.J. — Kevin Robert Lynch, 42, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, N.J.

He was born in Plainfield, N.J.

He was a longtime resident of the Hunterdon Developmental Center in Clinton, N.J.

He is survived by his parents, George Lynch and Patricia Dymes Lynch of Kutztown, Pa., formerly of North Plainfield; and three sisters, Sharon Jarema of Marlton, Nancy Olesin of Princeton, Mass., and Kathy Sisto of Bernardsville.

He was the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. George Lynch of Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, N.J., on Monday, June 17, 2002, at noon. Cremation will be private. Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. to noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Hunterdon Developmental Center, P.O. Box 4003, Clinton, NJ 08809-4003.

Claude C. Coulman

Ellenburg — Claude C. Coulman, 60, of West Hill Road, Ellenburg, died June 13, 2002, at Fletcher - Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt.

Born in Warrensburg, N.Y., on Aug. 10, 1941, he was the son of Curtis and Lois (Harrington) Coulman.

He was married to Genevieve Cleavland on Aug. 5, 1967.

Mr. Coulman is survived by his wife of 34 years; his mother of Warrensburg, N.Y.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Melissa Coulman of Chateaugay, N.Y., Darcy and Eric Reid of Peru, N.Y., and Alece and Brian Brubaker of Phoenix, Ariz.; a grandson, Tyler Coulman Reid; his mother-in-law, Barbara Cleavland of Bolton Landing, N.Y.; a brother Timothy Coulman of Warrensburg, N.Y.; and a sister, Cathy Hall of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harling and Belva Harrington, who raised him as a child. Also his father died earlier.

Mr. Coulman was employed in 1960 by New York State DEC at Warrensburg Fish Hatchery. In 1972 he took his first position as manager at Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery on Long Island. In the Fall of that year he moved to Fortsville Fish Hatchery, Gansevoort, N.Y. In 1980 was named first assistant manager at the new Salmon River Hatchery in Altmar, N.Y., and in the summer of 1981 came to the Chateaugay Fish Hatchery as manager, where he exceeded past production records at 125,000 pounds. He retired in 1996.

Mr. Coulman was founder and co-owner of Coulman Discount Outlet, Chateaugay along with his wife. His hobbies included the collecting and repairing of antique clocks, with his love for the outdoors. He enjoyed logging, cutting firewood and sawing rough lumber. He spent his spare time remodeling his old farm house.

Calling hours will be held at Chateaugay Funeral Home on Sunday, June 16, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2002, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lee Call of Faith Baptist Church, Warrensburg, N.Y., officiating. Burial will take place at Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay.

Donations in his memory may be made to the family, who will be starting a nursing scholarship.

Jerome A. Tysen, 74, of Greenwood Street, Lake Placid died suddenly at his home June 10, 2002.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Albert J. Lampert, 83, of Wilmington, N.Y., and formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., passed away Thursday, June 13, 2002, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid and are incomplete at this time.

HOWARD L. WOOD, 83, formerly of Merrimack, N.H., and Lyon Mountain died Friday, June 14, 2002, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility, Plattsburgh.

He was born in Malone, June 18, 1918, the son of Leslie A. and Sadie Rae (Wilson) Wood.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Lyon Mountain Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in Merrimack, N.H., at a later date.

The R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of funeral arrangements.

LOIS I. HEBLER, 76, of Vermontville, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Rochester General Hospital.

She was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Vermontville.

Calling hours at at Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 17. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Nazarene Church in Vermontville. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Vermontville.

Vradenburg — Funeral services for Elizabeth P. Vradenburg, 85, of Black Point Road in Ticonderoga, who died on June 12, 2002, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Connery & Gunning Funeral Home in Ticonderoga, the Rev. William Muench of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ticonderoga officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga.
