He was born in Bedford, Va., on Nov. 19, 1917, the son of Professor Eugene and Janet (McDonald) )Byrne. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Byrne of Plattsburgh; Three children, Timothy P. Byrne and Ellen Fitts Byrne of Scarborough, Maine, Sally Byrne Quirk of Albany and Jeffrey and Nevenka Byrne of Lake Placid; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsburgh. A reception will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall. Duhaime Giguere, 82, formerly of Champlain Park, died Saturday evening, June 8, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on Aug. 22, 1919, the daughter of Amazalee Boulette and Charles Roy. Theresa was a loving wife and mother and married Henry A. Duhaime in 1941. Her husband was in the military and went off to the Pacific Theater. Theresa moved to Los Angeles and like so many women during the war she worked in an aircraft factory helping to build planes. Master Sergeant Duhaime made a career of the military requiring the family to move frequently. Having spent over eight years in Europe, during the 50’s and 60’s, their children saw a lot of the world while growing up. Master Sergeant Duhaime passed away on Dec. 5, 1960. Later Theresa married Donald Giguere of Plattsburgh. He was also a career soldier. Donald passed away in 1971. Mom devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Always one for family, she will always be in our thoughts and missed greatly by all. Theresa was a member of St. Peter’s Church and a former Red Cross volunteer. Survivors include three sons, Robert Duhaime and Terri of Brentwood, Tenn., Paul Duhaime and Millie of Plattsburgh; Patrick and his wife, Punki of Plattsburgh; one daughter, Diane Murray and her husband, Robert of Brattleboro, Vt.; one sister, Cecile Greendale and her husband, Jerry of Quebec City, Quebec; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. One son, André Duhaime and one daughter, Theresa L. Duhaime predeceased her. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Peru. Donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital. Carole A. AndersonDOVER, N.H. — Carole A. Anderson, 69, of Pineview Drive in Dover, N.H., died Saturday June 08, 2002, at the St. Ann Nursing Home following a period of failing health. She was born in Burlington, Vt., April 10, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Florence (Parrot) Deslauriers. She grew up in Saranac Lake, N.Y. Her husband of forty nine years, Richard A. Anderson, died March 4, 2001. Carole was a devoted mother and grandmother that truly enjoyed the outdoors, including gardening and bird watching. Members of the family include her sons, Steven Anderson of Hooksett, N.H., and Robert Anderson of Rochester, N.H.; her daughters, Bonnie Robinson of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Lorene (Mrs. Alan) Dickason of Dover, N.H., and Sharon (Mrs. James) Utley also of Dover, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; one great - grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive Carole. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Avenue, Dover, N.H. Marjorie Callahan NolanSandwich, MASS. — Marjorie Catherine (Callahan) Nolan, a resident of Sandwich, Mass., died on May 24, 2002, at the JML Care Center in Falmouth, Mass., surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 30, 1914, to William J. and Lillian (Burke) Callahan in Exeter, N.H. She grew up in Manchester, N.H., where she was educated at St. Joseph Grammar School and St. Joseph’s Girls High School. She was president of her class of 1932 and later served as Alumnae president. She was a church soloist for several years. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire (class of 1941), where she was very active in the drama and music societies. She met her husband, Robert B. Nolan through their participation in the Mask and Dagger drama group when they took part in several plays. She was elected to a national honor society in her senior year. During World War II she served in the Army Chemical Warfare Service as a plant supervisor in Hartford, Conn. She and her family first lived in Newton and West Roxbury, Mass., and later moved to Washington, DC, where her husband was an attorney for the Dept. of Commerce. She worked as secretary to a private boarding school there. They both loved to travel and took many trips. After their retirement they moved to Sandwich in 1977. She was active in the Sandwich Women’s Club, The American Association of University Women, The Falmouth Hospital Stroke Recovery Group and the Corpus Christi Church Consolation Committee. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and jumbles. She loved visiting with her friends and family and was a gourmet cook. Her husband of fifty-four years predeceased her in 1998. She is survived by her son, Robert B. Nolan II and his wife, Susan of Sandwich; two grandchildren, Jennifer Boggs of Sandwich and David Nolan of Manchester, N.H., her sister, Florence C. Callahan of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; five great-grandchildren; several cousins; and many friends. Memorial services were held on Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich. She was buried beside her husband in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Corpus Christi Building Fund, P.O. Box 1170, East Sandwich, MA 02563. Andrew L. A. Leroux, 21, of Plattsburgh and Chateaugay Street, Ft. Covington, was dead on arrival at the CVPH in Plattsburgh, Sunday morning, June 9, 2002. He was born in Massena, N.Y., on May 14, 1981, the son of Lucien and Laurie Laraby Leroux. Calling hours will be in the Cappiello - McKenzie and Cosgrove Funeral Home in Ft. Covington on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 13, 2002, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church in Ft. Covington, with the Rev. Kris Lauzon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. JAMES LaMere, 59, of Route 5, Brushton, formerly of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at the Alice-Hyde Hospital Emergency Room, Malone. He was born March 6, 1943, in Keeseville, the son of Milford Arthur LaMere and Viola "Hart" LaMere. There will be no calling hours.
