Published 06/10/02Lucia OsuchLEWIS — Lucia Osuch, 63, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at her home. She was born Dec. 10, 1938, in Hudson, N.Y., the daughter of William and Anna (Neizgoda) Kasuba. She enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her dear companion, Pete McCooey of Lewis; one daughter, Lucia Reynolds of Germantown, N.Y.; one son, Kermit Oakes of Ghent, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Kimberly Reynolds of Germantown, Joseph Leone, Ashley, Samantha and Kevin Oakes, all of Ghent; and many dear friends. A reception will be held at her house in Lewis, on the Lewis Wadhams Road, Saturday, Jun 15, at 2 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to High Peaks Hospice, Mineville, NY 12956. W.M. Marvins Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements. JEANETTE I. LaVALLEY, 79, of County Route 24, Bellmont, died June 8, 2002. She was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Burke, the daughter of Charles and Luna (Pilling) Crippen. Calling hours will be Monday, June 10, at the Chateaugay Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. only. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 11 at 10 a.m. in the Brainardsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eleanor Bellows officiating. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Ellenburg Depot.
