Published 06/08/02John A. "Butch" UrbanPORT HENRY, NY — John A. "Butch" Urban, 53, of Port Henry, died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh surrounded by his family. He was born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., on Feb. 2, 1949, the son of the late Anthony Urban. He served in the U.S. Army. A member of The Church of All Saints, Mineville. John was a self employed truck driver, an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia Capuano Urban; his children, Amy Manfred of Ticonderoga, Kellie King and fiancé Caine Valentine of Moriah Center and Meika Kelly and Carl Urban; Two brothers and their wives, Steve and Annie Urban of Mineville and Paul and Debbie Urban of Las Vegas, Nev.; Two sisters; several nieces and nephews; and grandchildren Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 9, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, June 10, 2002, 9:30 a.m. at The Church of All Saints, Mineville, N.Y. Father Michael Toth officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery Moriah, N.Y. Memorial donations may be to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad or the Moriah Fire Department and/or the Ladies Auxiliary, Moriah, N.Y. JANE L. CHAPPELL, 72, of Mineville, N.Y., died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at the Community Hospital, Elizabethtown, N.Y. She was born April 3, 1930, at Moriah, N.Y., the daughter of Rufus & Bertha (McConley) Hanchett. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, June 8, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church, Port Henry. Burial will follow in the Moriah Union Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y. |
