Published 5/31/02Bernard J. ReidPlattsburgh — Bernard J. Reid, 73, of Plattsburgh, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at his residence. He was born in Plattsburgh on June 5, 1928, the son of Richard J. and Evalina (Bell) Reid. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a correction officer at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora for over 36 years and retired in 1990. He is survived by a son, Tim Reid of Cadyville; two daughters, Debra Palmer of Plattsburgh and Lynda Post of San Antonio, Texas; a brother and sister-in- law, Orville and Golda Reid of Plattsburgh; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernice and Lloyd Lapham of Plattsburgh and Eleanor and Hersey Trombly of Chazy; five grandchildren, Kelly Palmer, John Palmer, Katelynn Reid, Erin Post and Nicole Post; and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Iona (Gregory) Reid died on May 18, 1999. Five brothers, Robert, Harold, Edmund, Ray and Leander also died before him. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O'Neill - Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. Interment will follow in St. Edmund’s Cemetery in Ellenburg. Patricia A. IvesMORIAH, NY — Patricia A. Ives, 68, of South Road, Moriah, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at the Moses Ludington Hospital Ticonderoga, NY. She was born at Westport, Conn., on July 17, 1933, the daughter of Melvin and Edna Waldron. She is survived by her son, Jack Ives; four daughters and sons-in-law, Rene and Chris Smith, Mary Jane and Greg Weld, Gloria and Brian Smith and Susan and John Ross; her sister, Shirley Ward; her brothers, Jerry Waldron and Jimmy Waldron; her grandsons, Dan, John Tyler and Andy, Frank and Cole; her granddaughter, Erin; her nephew, Peter Calabrese; and several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her husband, Frank C. Ives Jr., in 1995. Pat was retired from Standard Regester Co. Middlebury, Vt. She enjoyed her grandchildren and her flower gardens. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 31, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, 4219 Main Street, Port Henry, N.Y. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 1, 2002, at 11:30 a.m. at St Patrick’s Church, Port Henry. Father Michael Toth officiating.
