She was born in Oklahoma, June 6, 1964, daughter of Delbert Dewey and the late Gladys Dewey. Janice worked at CVPH Medical Center in Nutritional Services. She enjoyed spoiling her children and grandchildren and spending time with the whole family. She was a loving wife, grandmother, mother, daughter and sister. Janice also enjoyed playing bingo. She was well known for helping with fundraising benefits for the needy. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Delbert and Marilyn Dewey of Blanchard, Okla.; four daughters and one son-in-law, Angela and Mike Rivers of Keeseville, Summer McLean and fiancé, Kenneth Rivers of AuSable Forks, Carrieann McLean and fiancé, Jason Fletcher of AuSable Forks and Alicia McLean and fiancé, Shawn Hart of Boerne, Texas; two sons and one daughter - in - law, William Jr. and Robyn McLean of Peru and Justin McLean of Keeseville; seven grandchildren, Brooke, Alexander, Brandon, Kenneth Jr., Isaac, Little Jay man and Tyler John; a brother, Delbert Dewey, Jr. of Blanchard, Okla.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Delena and Jimmy Cantrell of Breckenridge, Texas, and Norma Dewey of Breckenridge, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Church in Keeseville, with Rev. Garvin Demarais, pastor, officiating and Rev. Sally White, pastor of the Keeseville and Harkness United Methodist Churches and Deacon John Levison, deacon at the Alton Correctional Facility, assisting. Carpenter Sr. passed away at his home after a long illness on Wednesday, May 29, 2002. He was born in Port Henry on Aug. 21, 1918, son of Wilford and Florence (Lasher) Carpenter. He was retired from the Republic Steel Corp. He was a member of the Morning Sun Masonic Lodge 142 F & AM in Mineville. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Izora (Straight) Carpenter; their two sons, Robert Jr. and his wife, Joan Gross of Sand Lake, N.Y., and James and his wife, Leslie of Cleveland, Ohio; Two daughters, Darleen Thompson of Mineville, N.Y., and her special friend, Kjell Gunnarsen of New Windsor, N.Y., and Kay Hanson and her husband, Peter of Moriah, N.Y.; three brothers, Arthur and his wife, Honora of Westport, N.Y., William of Port Henry, N.Y., and Clifford and his wife, Patricia of Albany, N.Y.; grandchildren, Stacey and David Teidman, Lisa Carpenter and Tony Leigh, Robin and Dennis Dengel, James and Diana Gross, Wayne and Isabell Thompson, Tammy and Todd Malbon, Jason Hanson and his fiancee, Kristen Kourofsky, Christopher, Scott, Kady, Ryan and Rachel Carpenter and Michael Cecys; and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Snow, 74, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at the home of her daughter in Massachusetts. She was born in Jay, Sept. 7, 1927, the daughter of Halsey and Lillian (Wilkins) Passino. Beloved wife of the late James H. Snow. She is survived by four children, Janice Betters of Keeseville, Dona Warner of Massachusetts, Glenn Snow of Black Brook and Brian Snow of AuSable Forks; Several grandchildren and great - grand- children; two brothers, Francis and Howard Passino; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. her sister, Theresa Douglas died before her. GroganParkersburg, W.V. — Dean L. Grogan, 45, of Parkersburg, W.V., died May 22, 2002, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 27, 1956, in Lyon Mountain, the son of Douglas J. and Yvonne J. Grogan. He was in Hotel Dining Room Management for 10 years who enjoyed gardening and stained glass design. Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Douglas A. and Debbie Grogan; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Deanna Grogan and Donna and Shawn Dicob; one maternal grandmother, Pearl Ashline; four nephews, Zach and Jake Grogan and Andy and Joey Martin; three nieces, Taunya and Vic Martin, Bobbie Sue and Travis Belrose and Nicole Martin; one great-nephew, Brandon Martin; and one great niece, Darlene Martin. A service will be held at St. Bernard’s Church in Lyon Mountain on June 1, 2002, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Parkersburg, W.V. Memorials may be made to the family. Kathleen M. Martin, 94, of Willsboro, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at her residence. She was born in Ticonderoga, Oct. 22, 1907, the daughter of John J. and Elizabeth (Valiant) O’Reilly. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning June 1, 2002, at 10 o’clock at St. Philip of Jesus Church in Willsboro, with Rev. James Delbel officiating. Davis, who died May 15, 2002, will be held Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake. FRAUGHTON — A graveside service for James Leroy Fraugton, who died Jan. 18, 2002, will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Morningside Cemetery in Malone, N.Y. The Rev. Robert Svenson will officiate. There will also be a Masonic graveside service. Following the committal, the family would like all who attend to join them for a reception, honoring Roy’s life at the Malone Golf and Country Club.
