Published 4/26/02Brooke Autumn FinleyPLATTSBURGH — Brooke Autumn Finley, 24 days old, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2002, at her home in her mother’s arms. She was born in Burlington, Vt., on April 1, 2002, the daughter of Shobin and Tracy (Deyo) Finley. Brooke is survived by her parents of Plattsburgh; her maternal grandparents, Patricia and Rufus "Joe" Deyo of Plattsburgh; her maternal great-grandmother, Stella Paul of Plattsburgh; her paternal grandparents, Richard and Nancy Finley of Plattsburgh; her paternal great-grandmother, Stella Sheehy of Florida and Albany, N.Y.; her paternal great-grandfather, Robert Finley and his wife, Anne of Albany; and several aunts, uncles, cousins also survive her. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from Elizabeth Street Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Steve Biswell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations to Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Ralph Milton BozarthLAKE PLACID — Ralph Milton Bozarth PE, 84, of Lake Placid, N.Y., died of cancer at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake on Tuesday, April 23, 2002. He was born in Burlington, N.J., a long-time resident of Burlington County, N.J., and a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. In 1977, he relocated to Lake Placid, N.Y., and purchased a farm, which he and his wife, Virginia, renamed Sweetwood Farms. A licensed professional engineer in NY, NJ and PA, he practiced as a consultant to U.S. Navy during World War II. He established engineering design and operating criteria for electrical power for shipboard application. Subsequently, he was an executive with H. K. Porter Electrical Division in Pittsburgh, PA. In later years, he practiced as an engineering consultant to public utilities, appearing in court as an expert witness. He also innovated electrical power systems and equipment for the high - speed railway system. An avid golfer, Mr. Bozarth was a member of the Craig Wood Golf Club in Lake Placid, past president of the Burlington County Country Club in N.J. and a former member of the Seaview Country Club in Absecon, N.J. He was also a member and past master of the Masonic Lodge in Burlington, N.J. Mr. Bozarth was recently honored by the Engineering National Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi, for his "...high academic standing" and his "character." .. -Your integrity; your breadth of interest; and your willingness to give unselfishly of yourself for the betterment of your school, your profession, and your fellow human beings." His wife, Virginia Reeve Bozarth, of more than 55 years died in Lake Placid in 1995. He is survived by his wife of four years, Rita Wilkins Bozarth; his son, Ralph M. Bozarth, Jr. and his wife Susan of Southampton, N.J.; and his daughter, Susan Straight and her husband Larry of Lake Placid, N.Y., There are two grandchildren, Tracey Ann Nippins of Beach Haven, N.J. and Buffy Maiorca and her husband, Steve of Lake Placid, N.Y.; and three great - grandchildren, Tierney Nippins and Taylor and Drew Maiorca. Calling hours were held at Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday April 26, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Adirondack Community Church in Lake Placid, with the Rev. Andrea Sears officiating. Burial will be in the North Elba Cemetery. Mary Lou LynchCHAZY — Mrs. Mary Lou Lynch, 67, of Chazy, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2002, at CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh on July 13, 1934, daughter of Herwood C. and Lauretta (LaBarge) Prevost. Mary Lou was a 1951 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Champlain. She graduated from Plattsburgh State in 1955. Mary Lou was employed by Peru Central School as a school nurse teacher at Northside School, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association, a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Chazy, where she was a lector, a Eucharist Minister and a member of To God Be the Glory Healing Ministry. Mary Lou did volunteer work in the community. Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband, James E. Lynch on April 22, 2001. They were married Dec. 27, 1961, at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain. She is also survived by one son, Michael Joseph Lynch of Chazy; three daughters, Karen Yakey of Plattsburgh, Caroline Lynch of Chazy, Hannah Lynch of Chazy; a brother and sister in law, Richard and Mary Ellen Prevost of Springfield, Va.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ramona Harlem of Plattsburgh, Patricia Maynard of Plattsburgh, Sally and Larry Ryan of Chazy; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy. Masses may be said in her memory or donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country. Howard Nenal HansonOrlando, Florida — Mr. Howard Nenal Hanson, 61, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at his home in Orlando. He was born in Sherebrooke, Quebec, Canada, on March 2, 1941. Howard was raised in Barre, Vt., and after completion of his higher education, he moved to Plattsburgh. After several years of life in Plattsburgh, he moved to Orlando, Fla., where he resided until the time of his death. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward C. Hanson and Alfrieda Desmarais of Burlington, Vt. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Ronald Yartz of Burlington, Vt.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tara and Joseph D. Reeves of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Tawnya Hanson and Steven Brown of Beekmantown, N.Y.; a son and a daughter-in-law, Anthony and Sheila Hanson of Clifton Park, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Joey, Kyle, Tia, Megan, Cameron, Dominick, Alexus and Steven "Buddy"; several nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife and friend, Angela Buffett of Plattsburgh. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 10, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. MARGARET I. POPP, 86, of Port Henry, N.Y., died Thursday April 25, 2002, at the Glens - Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, N.Y. Callings hours will be held Saturday, April 27, 2002, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry.
