Julie St. Louis

Plattsburgh — Julie Margaret St. Louis, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and teacher, 43, of Stone Bridge Way, Plattsburgh, N.Y., died unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, 2002.

She was born in Lima, Peru, South America, on Feb. 6, 1959. She graduated from Peru Central School, received an associate degree from Clinton Community College, a bachelor's degree in elementary education from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Julie married Michael St. Louis on Feb. 23, 1981. Michael was not only her husband but her best friend as well.

Julie's family was her universe and she, in turn, was the heart of her family. She always believed that her greatest accomplishment in life is her precious son, Zachary. Everyday revealed Julie's zest for living and passion for teaching. She was, truly, one of a kind! She will be missed so much by all whose lives she touched.

Julie began her teaching career at Wayland Central School in Wayland, N.Y. For the past 18 years she has been a first grade teacher at the school she loved - Peru Primary School. She dedicated her teaching career to making a difference in the lives of her children. Her colorful classroom was an extension of her magical personality. How lucky were the children that were able to call her "teacher"!

Survivors include her husband, Michael; one son, Zachary; her parents, Tom and Joyce Glasgow of Plattsburgh; one sister, Mary Jo Hall of Fort Myers, Fla.; three brothers, Mark and Theresa Wahl of Albany, Dayne and Lisa Wahl of Westerly, R.I., and Tom Glasgow II of Providence, R.I.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Ross Wahl.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Julie St. Louis Memorial Scholarship Fund, Peru Central School, Peru NY 12972.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Robert J. McCormick

Peru — Robert J. McCormick, 77, of the Bear Swamp Road, Peru, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Johnsburgh, N.Y., on Feb. 5, 1925, the son of Halsey and Tressa (Richards) McCormick.

Mr. McCormick served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.

Bob married the former Virginia Culver on Oct. 15, 1949, at the United Methodist Church of Warrensburg. He was employed at General Electric Company in Schenectady for 43 years prior to retiring in 1985 as a specialist in the turbine department.

Bob was a member of the Harkness United Methodist Church, AuSable River Masonic Lodge F&AM 149, Oriental Shrine Temple in Troy, the Norco Shrine Club and the Norco Shriner's Clowns. He was also a charter member of the Clifton Park BPOE, National Rifle Association, Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County, GE Quarter Century Club in Schenectady and the American Legion Post 20.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia McCormick of Peru; two sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon J. and Judy McCormick of Fort Edward and N. Robert and Cathy Sue McCormick of Ballston Spa; four granddaughters and spouses, Michelle and Michael Richardson and Valerie and Robert Bennett, all of Saratoga, Kimberly McCormick of Ballston Spa and Melissa McCormick of Fort Ann; three great- grandsons, Corey Saxton, Shayne Richardson and Tamaryn Bennett, all of Saratoga; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Philip and Louise McCormick of Greenfield Center and Ellen McCormack of South Glens Falls; one nephew and his spouse, Richard and Mary Ann Wrisley of Colleyville, Texas; and one aunt, Ida Richards of Ordinary, Va.

There will be no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the Harkness United Methodist Church at a date and time to be announced later.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, the Harkness United Methodist Church, or the AuSable River Lodge F&AM 149 in Keeseville.

Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.

Josephine (Laundry) Roberts

Fitchburg, Mass. — Josephine (Laundry) Roberts, 83, formerly of Day Street and Hawes Street in Fitchburg, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at UMass Memorial - Clinton Hospital, after an illness.

She was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Ausable Forks, N.Y., the daughter of Laban and Susan (LaFountain) Laundry and had lived many years in Fitchburg. She graduated from AuSable Forks High School in 1936.

Mrs. Roberts was a packer at the former Tilton & Cook Co. in Leominster for 30 years, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of St. Camillus de Lellis Church.

She leaves a son, Lloyd "Bob" H. Robare of Lunenburg; a daughter, Sue Ann Mendlin of Tulsa, Okla.; her daughter-in-law and principal caregiver, Nancy E. Robare of Lunenburg; a brother, Kenneth Laundry of Hawkeye, N.Y.; two sisters, Frances Leahy of Sayre, Pa., and Lorraine Stickney of Newcomb, N.Y.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.

Her husband of 41 years, Zeb M. Roberts, died on July 21, 1978. She was also predeceased by one sister and three brothers.

The funeral was held in St. Camillus de Lellis Church, Fitchberg, Mass. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Margaret E. (Zizza) Suddaby

Fallbrook, Calif. — Margaret E. (Zizza) Suddaby of Stratton Place, Plattsburgh, died April 13, 2002, in Fallbrook, Calif., unexpectedly.

The daughter of Adolph and Margaret (Roach) Zizza, she was raised in Glens Falls, N.Y., and attended St. Mary’s Academy.

Margaret "Peggy" worked at Champlain Valley Hospital as a nurse’s aide and then did private duty nursing. She retired from the Clinton County Health Department as a home-health aide after 13 years.

Margaret was a devoted mother of 10 children and grandmother of 20 children. She is survived by her sister, Noreen (Zizza) Klang of Sarasota, Fla.; her children, Peggy Lee McDonald of Plattsburgh, daughter-in-law Barbara Suddaby of Boerne, Texas, Keith and Cheryl Suddaby of Fallbrook, Calif., Wayne and Lynne Susan Suddaby of Morrisville, Vt., Glenn and Jane Suddaby of Syracuse, N.Y., Craig and Alex Suddaby of Boerne, Texas, Kevin and Lynne Lee Suddaby-Parker of Milton, Vt., Russell and Lorie Lee Noelting of Morrisonville, N.Y., and Brent and Judy Suddaby of Syracuse, N.Y.

Margaret was predeceased by a son, David of Boerne, Texas; a daughter, Nancy of Plattsburgh; and a son-in-law, Tim McDonald of Plattsburgh.

There will be a memorial Mass at St. Mary’s of the Lake at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 25th.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice or the Vermont Kidney Foundation.

Yolande Hebert

Gowanda, N.Y. — Yolande Hebert, 79, a long time resident of Champlain, passed away April 20, 2002, at the Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Gowanda, N.Y.

Beloved wife for 55 years of the late Frank Hebert, Yolande is survived by her three sons, George Hebert of Rochester, N.Y., Michael Hebert of Farington, Conn., and Robert Hebert of Cattaraugus, N.Y.; and her nephew, Gilles Dupere, of lberville, Quebec.

Mrs, Hebert also has eight grandchildren and was predeceased by one granddaughter.

Mrs Hebert was an active member of St. Joseph’s Ladies of St. Anne for many years and worked for Champlain Central School and the Border Drive In.

After retirement, Mrs. Hebert occupied her time by quilting, sewing and visiting her children and grandchildren. Since May of 2001, Mrs. Hebert was a resident of the Gowanda Nursing Home in Cattaraugus County.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Coopersville on Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at 10 a.m. There will be calling hours Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain.

Christopher C. Drinkwine, 23, of Keeseville and Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, died Sunday, April 21. 2002, in Keeseville.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Bible Baptist Church in Plattsburgh, with Rev. Robert Fry, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville with full U.S. Marine Corp military honors.

Lance D. LaRose, 19 months old, of Keeseville, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, in Keeseville.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m., at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville, with Rev. Robert Fry, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church in Plattsburgh, officiating.

John T. Flynn, 58, of Saranac Lake, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

He was born in Gabriels, N.Y., on June 6,1943, the son of the late John Francis Flynn and Mary Leah (Sweet) Flynn.

Visitation will be at Fortune - Keough Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Bible Vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, with Father Christopher Looby and Father Timothy Soucy officiating. Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery in Gabriels, N.Y.

Roy M. Trudo, 49, of Wichita, Kan., died April 21, 2002, in Wichita.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 24th, at 2 p.m. at the Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Wichita.

The Culbertson-Smith Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.
