Julie St. Louis

PLATTSBURGH — Julie Margaret St. Louis, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and teacher, 43, of Stone Bridge Way, Plattsburgh, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, 2002.

She was born in Lima, Peru, South America on Feb. 6, 1959. She graduated from Peru Central School, received an associate’s degree from Clinton Community College, a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from SUNY Geneseo, and a master’s degree from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Julie married Michael St. Louis on Feb. 23, 1981. Michael was not only her husband but her best friend as well.

Julie’s family was her universe and she, in turn, was the heart of her family. She always believed that her greatest accomplishment in life is her precious son, Zachary. Every day revealed Julie’s zest for living and passion for teaching. She was, truly, one of a kind! She will be missed so much by all whose lives she touched.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; one son, Zachary; her parents, Tom and Joyce Glasgow of Plattsburgh; one sister, Mary Jo Hall of Fort Myers, Fla.; three brothers, Mark and Theresa Wahl of Albany, Dayne and Lisa Wahl of Westerly, R.I., and Tom Glasgow II of Providence, R.I.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Ross Wahl.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, at 4:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Julie St. Louis Memorial Scholarship fund, Peru Central School, Peru, NY 12972.

NOEL R. SHOVAN, 79, of Cobble Hill Road, Elizabethtown, died April 20, 2002, at the Horace Nye Nursing Home in Elizabethtown.

He was born in Elizabethtown on Aug. 17, 1922, the son of Walter and Cecilia (Wells) Shovan.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Marvin’s Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Elizabethtown.

HECTOR J. LaVALLEY, 79, of Mooers Forks, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at Fletcher-Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. Members of the Champlain Knights of Columbus Council 3525 are asked to meet at the council hall at 7 p.m. for a 7:30 service at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday from St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

ISAIAH JOHN BECKETT, 18 months, of 2411 South Gaylord St., Denver, Colo., died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at the Children’s Hospital in Denver.

Born in Denver on Oct. 10, 2000, he was the son of Samuel Jordan and Cassie Beckett.

There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home chapel in Malone.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Catholic Charities Beginning of Life Fund, 4244 Fort Covington St., P.O. Box 896, Malone, NY 12953.

KATHERINE R. FLEURY, 74, of 111 Academy St., Malone, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Albany memorial Hospital in Albany.

She was born in Malone, Sept. 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Victor and Virginia Ritchie Robideau.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at Notre Dame Church in Malone. Burial will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Constable.

Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the North Country, Inc.

YOLANDE HEBERT, 79, of Gowanda, N.Y., died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Tri-county Memorial Hospital in Gowanda. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain.
