Rita L. Terry

Saranac — Rita L. Terry, 50, of the Strackville Road, Saranac, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at the Fletcher Allen Healthcare Center in Burlington, Vt., with her family by her side, following a courageous, seven-year battle with cancer.

Rita was born in Redford, June 14, 1951, the daughter of Charles and Adah (Burt) Plumadore.

She graduated from Saranac Central School in 1970.

She married William A. Terry Sr., December 6, 1969, at the Church of the Assumption in Redford.

Rita enjoyed her life as a homemaker and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, working with crafts and organizing family reunions.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, William A. Terry Sr. of Saranac; one daughter, Malissa Farrell of Saranac; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Jr. and Melissa Terry of Schuyler Falls and Jason Terry of Saranac; three grandchildren, Steven Farrell of Saranac and Riana and Morgan Terry of Schuyler Falls; her parents, Charles Sr. and Adah Plumadore of Saranac; two brothers, Charlie Plumadore and Frank Plumadore, both of Dade City, Fla.; and many other family and friends who loved and will miss her dearly.

Calling hours will be held Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. An evening vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption in Redford, with Rev. Francis Coryer, pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the family and will then be directed to the charity of their choice.

Jack Bolton

Hague — Jack Bolton, 81, of Overbrook Road in Hague and formerly of Corinth, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the Moses-Ludington Nursing Home of Ticonderoga.

He was born in Hague July 27, 1920, the son of the late Hanford and Bertha (Duell) Bolton.

Mr. Bolton lived in Corinth for many years before returning to Hague in 1992. He was employed by the International Paper Company of Corinth before his retirement in 1978.

He was a member of the Hague Fish & Game Club.

Mr. Bolton was predeceased by a brother, Robert Bolton in 1993; and a sister, Virginia Fitzgerald in 2000.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris M. (DuPlease) Bolton; one son, Donald B. Bolton of Hadley; one daughter, Donna J. Aloi of Peru; four grandchildren, Traci Dickerson, Mark Aloi, Donielle Bolton and Dianna Bolton; and two great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Dickerson and Connor Dickerson.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. George Fleming will officiate. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.

Kenneth Gill

BALTIMORE, MD. - Kenneth Gill, 79, of Plattsburgh, died April 16, 2002, in Baltimore, Md.

He is survived by four sons, Chris Gill of Seattle, Wash., Steve Gill of Highland, Md., Andy Gill of Pikesville, Md., and Brian Gill of Londonderry, N.H.; a sister, Bertha Crowley of Glens Falls, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will occur later this summer. Arrangements are being handled by the Mitchell - Wiedefeld Funeral Home, Inc. of Baltimore, Md.

Gladys F. Childs, 96, of Fourth Street, Malone, N.Y., died early Thursday morning, April 18, 2002, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She had been a patient there since April 3, 2002.

She was born in Malone, July 4, 1905, the daughter of the late Edmund E. and Nellie (Fadden) Fayette.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 until 2:45 p.m. at the Bruso - Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 3 p.m. at Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.

Kegan Mitchell Wells, one day old, of the Ashley Road in West Chazy, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

He was born in Burlington, Vt., on April 16, 2002, son of Robert J. and Jennifer Lynn (Whitney) Wells.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 20, 2002, at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Chazy.
