BANNER ELK, N.C. — Mark Thomas Nolan, 44, of Edgar Tufts Road, died Friday, March 15, 2002.

A native of Montgomery, Ala., he was the chef at the Corner Palate Restaurant in Banner Elk.

Survivors include his parents, John and Beverly Ann Nolan of Wilmington, N.C.; a son, Casey Jerome Nolan of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a sister, Karen Lee Nolan of Plattsburgh; three brothers, Stephen Edward Nolan and his wife, Julie, of Morrisonville, David Malcolm Nolan and his wife, Wendy, of Fishkill, and Gregory James Nolan and his wife, Kimberly, of Hampton, Tenn.; a fiancee, Marla Stern of Banner Elk; and many nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mark Thomas Nolan will be conducted at 7 p.m. from the Grandfather Chapel of the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home of Newland, N.C.

PLATTSBURGH — Kathryn M. Graham, 82, formerly of Kent Falls Road, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Meadowbrook Health Care Facility.

Mrs. Graham was born in Malone on March 13, 1920, the daughter of George and Albina (Fish) Laraby.

She married Frank Graham at Notre Dame Church in Malone in 1959.

She was a member of St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Cudd and her husband, Bruce, of Marion, Ohio; one brother, George Laraby of Troy; one sister, Marion Lucy of Malone; one grandson, Jeremy Cudd of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Clarence and Maurice Laraby, died earlier.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Alexander’s Church.

Donations may be made to the St. Alexander’s Church Memorial Fund in her memory.

RAY L. CARTER, 76, of Route 374 in Chateaugay died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt.

Arrangements are with Chateaugay Funeral Home and will be announced later this week.

LITA LYNCH KELLY, 81, of 27 Olivetti Place, Plattsburgh, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at her home.

Arrangements, which are incomplete at this time, are being made through the R.W. Walker Funeral Home of Plattsburgh.
