Elizabeth "Libbie" Goetz

Plattsburgh — Elizabeth "Libbie" Goetz, 77, died Friday evening, March 15, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center, following a long illness.

Elizabeth Grace (Doty) Goetz was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Saranac Lake, the daughter of George and Doris (Tyler) Doty.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, William of Plattsburgh; a daughter and son-in-law, Laurie (Goetz) and Kenneth Bond of Milford, Mass.; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Anne Goetz of Conifer, Colo.; and a son, Robert, of Plattsburgh. Four grandchildren, Matthew Bond, Heidi Carrick, Heather Zettl and Hillarie Goetz and three great-grandchildren, Caitlin Carrick, Zachary Carrick and Paxton Zettl, also survive.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Alice DeZengremel, Jacquelyn Braley and Shirley Naegele; two brothers, George Doty and Thomas Doty; and one great-grandchild, Payton Zettl.

Elizabeth graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1942 and Bellevue School of Nursing in 1945. A registered nurse, Elizabeth worked at Will Rogers Hospital in Saranac Lake and the CVPH Medical Center, retiring in 1982.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Plattsburgh.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Trinity Church Building Fund or a favorite charity.

Glen Stafford Young

Willsboro, N.Y. — Glen Stafford Young, 39, died at his home on the Middle Road on Friday, March 15, 2002.

He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y. on Aug. 2, 1962, the son of Gordon and Patricia (Hoskins) Young.

He is survived by his parents; his children, Neil Allen Young and Mallory Rae Young; his sister, Lori Cross; his maternal grandmother, Julia Hoskins; and his former wife, Wanda Young, all of Willsboro; a brother-in-law, Mark and his wife Nancy Pope of Peru; nieces and nephews, Dillon Ashline, Kaylyn Cross and Brittany and Colin Pope; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his companion, Lisa Frenier and his best friend, George Betters.

He was predeceased by his sister, Kandy Pope.

There will be calling hours Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Huestis Funeral Home. A funeral service, conducted by Rev. Barbara Hoffman, will be held at the funeral home on Maple Street in Willsboro on Monday, March 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery will follow.

Memorials in his memory may be made to the Willsboro Rescue Squad, the Willsboro United Church of Christ or a charity of choice.

Arlington 0. "Arnie" Wylie Sr.

Lake Placid — Arlington 0. "Arnie" Wylie Sr., 66, of Sentinel Road in Lake Placid, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

He was born in Burke, N.Y., on Jan. 13, 1936, the son of Elvin M. and Mae (Harte) Wylie.

Arnie was a mechanic and owned and operated Arnie's Service Center in Lake Placid.

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Griffin) Wylie, whom he married in Constable, N.Y., in 1953. He is also survived by two sons, Arlington Wylie Jr. of Minneapolis, Minn., and Ricky Shonyo and his wife Nenita of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Robin Wylie Shaw and her husband Michael of Lake Placid, Debra Wylie Rattee and her husband Reginald of Lake Placid and Heidi Jo Anne Wylie of Plattsburgh; one brother, William Wylie and his wife Judy of Lake Placid; two sisters, Rita McElwain and her husband Gerald of Malone and Shirley Wylie of Willsboro. He is also survived by two grandsons, Chad William Shaw and his wife Sydny of Cape Cod, Mass., and Michael Rattee of Lake Placid; three granddaughters, Barbara Joyce Rattee of Lake Placid, Lynn Shonyo and Jennifer Bryant. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A daughter, Pamela Wylie Coyle and a brother, Wayne Wylie died earlier.

Friends are invited to call at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Bible vigil service will be held Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be offered Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the St. Agnes Church. The Rev. Michael Gaffney and Rev. Patrick O'Reilly will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in the St. Agnes Cemetery at a later date.

Joseph "Joe" Ondrek, 83, of the Fuller Road in Peru and Kissimmee, Fla., died Friday, March 15, 2002, at The Palms Nursing Home in Kissimmee, Florida.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.
