Published 3/16/02Lawrence N. "Pop" BlaiseKeeseville — Lawrence N. "Pop" Blaise, 81, of Hill Street, Keeseville, died Friday, March 15, 2002, at his home. He was born in AuSable Forks, April 28, 1920, the son of Nelson and Mable (LaMountain) Blaise. Pop was raised in Keeseville, where he spent a great deal of time repairing bikes and working with his father in the family salvage business. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing bingo. He was a member of the Keeseville Knights of Columbus. Survivors include three sisters and one brother-in-law, Theresa Manning, Joan Doyle and Jane and Donald Fountain, all of Keeseville; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Blaise also of Keeseville; and many nieces and nephews, including a very special nephew, Wayne Manning, who cared for Pop. He was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Blaise, Leona Mousseau and Isabelle Fountain; and one brother, Sherman Blaise. There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Church in Keeseville, with Rev. Garvin Demarais, pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Keeseville Rescue Squad Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. Glen Stafford YoungWillsboro, N.Y. — Glen Stafford Young, 39, died at his home on the Middle Road, Friday March 15, 2002. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Aug. 2, 1962, the son of Gordon and Patricia (Hoskins) Young. He is survived by his parents; his children, Neil Allen Young and Mallory Rae Young; his sister, Lori Cross; his maternal grandmother, Julia Hoskins; and his former wife, Wanda Young all of Willsboro; nieces and nephews, Dillon Ashline, Kaylyn Cross and Brittany and Colin Pope; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his companion, Lisa Frenier and his best friend, George Betters. He was predeceased by his sister, Kandy Pope. There will be private calling hours for the family Sunday evening, March 17, 2002. A funeral service, conducted by Rev. Barbara Hoffman, will be held at Huestis Funeral Home, Maple Street, Willsboro, Monday March 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery will follow. Memorials in his memory may be made to the Willsboro Rescue Squad, the Willsboro United Church of Christ or a charity of choice. DORCAS DICKERMAN, 83, formerly of Saranac, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at her residence in Birchwood, Tenn. The O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete at this time.
