Aldona "Dee" Falcon

Perrys Mills — Aldona "Dee" Falcon, 88, of Perrys Mills, passed away Friday, March 8, 2002, at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

Aldona was born June 30, 1913, in Champlain to John and Victoria (Dubois) Lafountain. She lived on the canal boats as a young girl and lived on the Chazy River all her life. She enjoyed painting, reading, flower gardening and talking about the canal days.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Falcon in 1977 and her son, Robert in 1997.

Survivors include one son, Richard Falcon and his wife Audrey of Peru; one sister, Louise Chevalier; two daughters-in-law; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews,

Calling hours will be Sunday, March 10, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain at noon.

Margaret T. Fournia

Redford — Margaret T. Fournia, 71, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Redford on Sept. 28, 1930, the daughter of Adlor and Evelyn (LaWare) Pellerin.

She was employed for many years as the head baker for the Marriott Corporation at Plattsburgh State University until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Redford and the Saranac American Legion Post 1619 Ladies Auxillary. She was also an avid golfer.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Fournia of Redford; five sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Gale Fournia of Riverview, Stephen and Cheryl Fournia of Redford, Kevin and Julie Fournia of Chazy Lake, Bradley and Kathleen Fournia of Riverview and Scott and Tammy Fournia of Dannemora; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Tedford of Saranac; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lawrence Pellerin of Clayburg and Adlor and Jeannette Pellerin of Redford; two sisters, Dora Terry of Cadyville and Agnes Paige of Troy; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Alfred Pellerin and James Pellerin and three sisters, Albina Bailey, Rose Maggy and Cora Bell, all died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O'Neill - Redden- Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday from the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Elonora M. Thornton

Saranac — Elonora M. Thornton, 84, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in New York City on Feb. 6, 1918, the daughter of Julius and Ella Boehm.

She was employed as a parking meter attendant for the Village of Dannemora for many years.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Merle and Star Thornton of Saranac; a brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Marietta Boehm of Acadia, Fla.; four grandchildren, Davyd and Esther Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Merlin Smith of Kingston and Sarah Thornton of Saratoga Springs; two great-grandchildren, Brett and Hayley Keech of Saratoga Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Merlin Thornton, a daughter, Marjorie Smith and a sister, Dorothy Schultz, all died earlier.

There will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Margaret Kelley

AuSable Forks — Margaret Kelley, 93, formerly of Broad Street and the Neighborhood House at Keene Valley, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at the Moses-Ludington Nursing Home in Ticonderoga. She had been transferred there after being hospitalized because of a serious fall.

She was born on June 10, 1908, in AuSable Forks, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Cain) Charbonneau.

She attended AuSable Forks Central Rural School. For several years, she was employed at the J&J Rogers Paper Mill in AuSable Forks. She was also employed for a short period of time in the food service department of the AuSable Forks Central Rural School. She was a faithful member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, AuSable Forks.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Fay Spring of Ticonderoga; caring neighbors, Robert and Jean Mousseau of AuSable Forks; and several nieces and nephews.

Those that predeceased her are her husband, James Kelley who died Sept. 9, 1958; and three sisters, Viola Gorman, Martha Falcon and Frances Oree.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2002, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Zaumetzer - Sprague Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held the same day following the calling hours at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Philip Allen officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, AuSable Forks.

Memorials to her may be made to the Keene Valley Neighborhood House, Keene Valley, NY 12943.

Kenneth J. Sullivan, 89, of Sawyer Avenue in Malone, passed away Friday evening, March 8, 2002, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. For the past two months, he had been a resident of the Farrar Home in Malone.

He was born in Bombay, N.Y., on Nov. 14, 1912, the son of the late John and Ella (McMahon) Sullivan.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 11, 2002, at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church in Malone, with the Rev. Msgr. C. John McAvoy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lake Titus Road, Malone, later in the spring.

Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service of Malone.

Wallace "Wally" Viley, 51, of the Bear Swamp Road in Peru, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center.

Calling hours will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

James R. Farrell, 77, of Cogan Avenue in Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2002, at his home.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
