Published 2/26/02Hortense O’Mara Graves Plattsburgh — Hortense O’Mara Graves, 86, of Plattsburgh, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on March 16, 1915, the daughter of Henry and Clara (Breyette) O’Mara. She was employed at Plattsburgh State University in the History department for many years. She graduated from St. John’s Academy and later from the Mildred Ellie Secretarial School in Albany. She was the first woman in Plattsburgh on the radio at WMFF, which later became WEAV. She also worked at WIRY and WPTZ on the shows Junior Jamboree and Hospitality House. She was a Girl Scout leader and was a member of St. John’s Church and the Altar-Rosary Society. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Arthur and Sara Graves of Peru, David and Deborah Graves of Morrisonville and Thomas Graves of Plattsburgh; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rosemary Martin of Plattsburgh and Kathy and Howard Gallagher of Fairfax, Vt.; 10 grandchildren; and two great - grandchildren. Her husband, Arthur Graves died in 1971. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Neill - Redden -Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh in the spring. For directions and guest book, please visit www.legacy.com Brenna Adirondack Twomey - Mulvey Wilmington, N.Y. —Brenna Adirondack Twomey - Mulvey, 3, of Wilmington, N.Y., passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington, Vt., after a brief illness. She was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Dec. 10, 1998, the daughter of Tara Twomey-Mulvey and Russell B. Mulvey and sister of Colleen Tahawus, 6. Brenna found wonder in collecting leaves and splashing through puddles when. walking with her dog and cat. She created wonder in her dancing, painting, and singing with her mom. She loved horses, flowers in the garden, watching the moon, cookies, chocolate and blue popsicles and Brenna put loving warmth in her hugs and snuggles with everyone. Calling hours will be Friday, March 1, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zaumetzer -Sprague Funeral Home in AuSable Forks, N.Y. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 2, 2002, at the Whiteface Community Methodist Church, followed by her burial in Haselton Cemetery, in Wilmington, N.Y. (ROACH) BLUMBERG, 69, of Blackstone, Mass., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Milford Whitinsville Regional Hospital in Milford, Mass. She was born in Plattsburgh, July 16, 1932, the daughter of the late Francis D. And Agnes (Quinn) Roach. A memorial Mass was held Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at St. Michael’s Church in Mendon, Mass. Burial will be in Plattsburgh at a time to be announced. Marcelia "Sis" Feinberg MacDougal, 88, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at the Horace Nye Home in Elizabethtown. She was born June 7, 1913, in Keene, N.Y., the daughter of Mose and Nellie (Havens) Feinberg. No calling hours will be held. A memorial service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are with W. M. Marvins Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. EDWARD F. CARSON, 54, of Creek Road, Crown Point, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt. He was born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., on Dec. 16, 1947, the son of Fay and Florence (Suprise) Carson. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home.
