Evelyn L. "Bunny" Barber

Morrisonville — Evelyn L. "Bunny" Barber, 69, of Venne Avenue, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at her home.

She was born in Plattsburgh, Sept. 14, 1932, the daughter of Leo Sr., and Mary E. (Blanchard) LaPorte.

Bunny grew up in Dannemora. She married Robert H. Barber in 1963 in Plattsburgh.

She loved music and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Barber of Morrisonville; four daughters, Sandra L. Steele of Ogdensburg, Christine H. MacDonald of Windam, N.H., Laurie H, Barber of Westerlo and Robin L. Gadway of Morrisonville; three brothers, Leo LaPorte Jr. of Plattsburgh, Francis LaPorte of Plattsburgh and Ronald LaPorte of Indiana; two sisters, Catherine LaVarnway and Bernie Clay, both of Plattsburgh; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, Robert LaPorte.

Services were private and held at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Donald Lewis "Duck" Budwick

PORT HENRY, N.Y. —

Donald Lewis "Duck" Budwick, 59, of Port Henry, N.Y., died peacefully Sunday morning, Feb. 17, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Donald was born on the "Old Skin Flats" Port Henry during a Black Blackout on Aug. 11, 1942.

He was the son of Joseph and Mary (Bordan) Budwick Sr.

He was a member of the Mineville Drum & Bugle Corps and past member of the Moriah Fire Dept.

His many joys were picnicking at Lincoln Pond, picking apples and baseball. But his best joy of all was sharing his candy pocket with his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sisters, Elanor M. Budwick Browne of Chula Vista, Calif., and Doris Marcotte of Blue Ridge, N.Y.; two brothers, Kenneth Budwick of Westport and Robert Budwick of Elizabethtown; his former wife of 13 years close friend and confidant, Darlene Budwick; his five children, Tina Budwick, Tammy Budwick, Donald Budwick Jr. and wife, Michelle, Joseph Budwick and Nicole McConley; four stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; one great - granddaughter; three great - stepgrandchildren; and many loving friends.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Budwick Jr. and Dewey Budwick.

A memorial service will be held at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at 10 a.m.

Donations may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance for all of their time, care and support of our father.

We will miss you dearly Dad, Grandpa-pa, Pa Pa Don. Rest in peace.

Isabelle A. Duckett

Plattsburgh — Isabelle A. Duckett, 84, of Rand Hill Road, died at her home, Monday, Feb. 18, 2002.

She was born May 21, 1917, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the daughter of Robert and Alma (Wolf) Jaquish.

She worked for the Keene Valley Neighborhood House and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital as a nurses aid for many years.

She enjoyed knitting and homemaking.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly O’Connor of Keene and Bobbie Scales of Plattsburgh; her sister, Thelma Tryon of Westport; two grandchildren, Lynn Nicholl of Gouverneur, Michael Micanko Sr. of Plattsburgh, five great - grandchildren, Tyler Nicholl, Trevor Nicholl, Michael Micanko Jr., Julie-Ann Micanko and Steven Micanko; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 21 Plattsburgh Plaza, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

Arrangements are with W.M. Marvins Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Florence M. Skeels, 91, formerly of Church Street in Saranac Lake, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid.

She was born in Saranac Lake, N.Y., on July 16, 1910, the daughter of Myron and Elizabeth (Leary) Skeels.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Bible vigil will be held Tuesday at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Church, with Rev. Timothy Soucy officiating. Burial will be at St. Bernard Cemetery in May.

Judith K. Murphy, 75, of Lakeview Towers, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt.

She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Oct. 10, 1926, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mabel (Klinck) Lippman.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at noon at Lakeview Towers. Following cremation entombment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Kenneth C. Desotell, 86, of the Lapham Mills Road, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at his home.

He was born in Plattsburgh on May 11, 1915.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be later in the year in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Rodney Lagree, 43, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at the family residence in Dannemora.

Arrangements were incomplete Monday evening at the O’Neill - Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Joanne Mable Reandeau, 63, of Lake Street in Tupper Lake, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at her home in care of her family and High Peaks Hospice.

She was born May 14, 1938, in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Samuel and Loretta (Miner) Theriault.

Calling hours will be held at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at 11 a.m., with David Boyer, of the Christian Center, officiating. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in May.

Lorraine Thompson, 86, of Park Street in Tupper Lake, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Mercy Healthcare Center in Tupper Lake.

She was born April 17, 1918, in Barachois, Quebec, the daughter of Randolph William and Agnes (Henley) Boucher.

Calling hours will be held at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will take place Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in May.
