Caroline M. Bressette

Plattsburgh — Caroline M. Bressette, 57, of the Blake Road, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Willsboro, July 13, 1944, the daughter of Leo P. Sr. and Emily Mae (Riley) King.

Mrs. Bressette was not only a daughter, sister, grandmother and mother, most of all she was an honest and true friend.

She volunteered for a time at St. Vincent DePaul in Peru.

She enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorien L. and Patrick A. LaDuke Sr. of Mooers, Christine "Chrissie" and Brian D. Waite of Gansevoort and Sara J. and Robert G. Duval of Plattsburgh; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald H. Jr. and Melissa J. Bressette of Plattsburgh; six grandchildren, Jessica M. LaDuke and fiancé, John Juneau, Patrick A. LaDuke, Jr., Savannah L. Neuberger - Waite, Ryan R. Duval, Brandi M. Duval and Tyler J. Bressette; one great-grandson, Brady J. Juneau; her former spouse and friend, Donald H. Bressette Sr. of Keeseville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John King of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Leo P. and Sylvia King of Keeseville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Harriet and Eugene Robare of Willsboro and Mary and Robert Hanley of Keeseville; and several nieces and nephews, relatives, and close friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Leonard King, Lewis King and William King; and sisters, Barbara Archer and Elizabeth Hart.

There will be no public calling hours. A gathering will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Sara Duval, on Blake Road in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.

Georgia S. White

Ticonderoga — Georgia S. White, 88, of Park Avenue, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at the Moses - Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga.

She was born in Ticonderoga, Oct. 11, 1913, the daughter of the late George and Ina (Hams) Stimpson.

Mrs. White was a lifetime resident of Ticonderoga.

She was an animal lover and was a supporter of the Wildlife Federation and the Westport Animal Shelter.

Her husband, John S. White predeceased her in 1985.

Survivors include one son, Alan G. White of Ticonderoga; her brother-in-law, Richard White and his wife, Geri of Ticonderoga; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin Street in Ticonderoga. A funeral service will take place Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Lauren P. Maxson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate. Interment will take place in the spring at the family plot of the Mt. Hope Cemetery of Ticonderoga.

Angeline May Surprenant

MOOERS — Angeline May Surprenant, 79, of Mooers passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born February 6, 1923, in Mooers, N.Y., the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Willette) Garrand.

Angeline was preceded in death by her husband, Mose Surprenant; one sister, Eva Trombly; and two brothers, Charles Willette and Douglas Willette.

She is survived by one son, Steven Surprenant and his wife, Wanda of Mooers; two daughters, Cindy Surprenant of Mooers and her companion, Hugh Hogle and Janice Marino and her husband, Jack of Berwyn, Pa.; two grandchildren, Bradley Surprenant and Tisha Surprenant; a brother- in-law, Harold Trombly of Mooers; and a sister in law, Lou Willette of Connecticut.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church in Mooers.

Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country, 386 Rugar Street in Plattsburgh or to the Mooers Volunteer Fire Department.

Jean M. Miner

Cadyville — Jean M. Miner, 65, of Cadyville, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Redford on June 3, 1936, the daughter of Andrew and Loretta (Strack) LaRose.

She was a communicant of St. James Minor Church in Cadyville.

She is survived by her husband, John Miner of Cadyville; four sons and two daughters-in- law, John Miner of Saranac, Andrew and Cindy Miner of Ballston Spa, Brian and Jennifer Miner of Plano, Texas, and Alan Miner of Chazy; three daughters and a son-in-law, Jane and Weston Cordova of New Hyde Park, Long Island, Lori Miner of Cadyville and Dr. Paula Miner of Nashua, N.H., and eight grandchildren, Carrie, Andy, Kevin, John, David, Chelsea, Meaghan and Katie.

Her son, Michael H. Miner died Dec. 10, 1989; and a daughter, Valerie Jean Miner also died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Neill - Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Members of Knights of Columbus Council 6067 are asked to meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home for services. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. James Minor Church in Cadyville. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery in Redford in the spring.

Elizabeth M. Jock, 76, of North Bangor, N.Y., died Sunday evening, Feb. 10, 2002, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, N.Y. She had been a patient there since Jan. 29, 2002.

She was born in Whippleville, N.Y., July 26, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Moses) Preston.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Malone, with Msgr. C. John McAvoy officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in Malone in the spring.

Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. of Malone.

Ronald J. Sweeney, 61, of Cascade Road in Lake Placid, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 11, 2002, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

He was born in Vermontville, Jan. 26, 1941, the son of Edwin and Veona (Moore) Sweeney.

The family will receive friends at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Bible vigil will be held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m., with the Rev. Patrick O’Reilly officiating. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the North Elba Cemetery in May.

Margaret E. Poland, 94, formerly of Robert S. Long Apartments, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Jan. 13, 1908, the daughter of William and Mabel (Brightman) Dunn.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stephen Gratto, pastor of St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville and St. Joseph’s Church in Treadwell Mills, officiating. Interment will be at a later date in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Victoria Moffa, 88, of the Military Turnpike in Plattsburgh, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.

Lesa Corrow Larose, 40, of Sentinel Road in Lake Placid, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

She was born in Lake Placid July 18, 1961, the daughter of John T. and Janice (Hinckley) Corrow.

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Bible vigil service will be held Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church. Rev. Patrick O’Reilly will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery at a later date.
