She was born in Cherry Point, N.C., on Dec. 24, 1959, the daughter of Charles Bernard and Mildred Lucille (Filkens) Schwarzweller. Chris enjoyed her flower garden. She was predeceased by her mother; two sisters, Grace Schwarzweller and Joan Sadler; and a brother, Paul Schwarzweller. She is survived by her husband of twenty two years, Thomas D. Jones, USMCR of Beekmantown; a daughter, Jamie M. Jones at home; two sons, Pvt. David M. Jones, USMC of Pensacola, Fla., and Jason E. Jones at home; her father, C. Bernie Schwarzweller of Beaufort, N.C.; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Charles F. and Sharon Schwarzweller of Witchita, Kan., John M. and Tracey Schwarzweller of Holly Springs, N.C., and Thomas C. and Susan Schwarzweller of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Theresa C. and George Corbin of Havelock, N.C., Mary A. and Steve Lewis of Raleigh, N.C., and Anita I. and Gene James of Marysville, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd "Jerry" Bleaux, pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church, officiating. Grace M. HuntSARANAC — Grace M. Hunt, 92, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at the Indian River Nursing Home in Granville, N.Y. She was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Burke, N.Y., the daughter of the late Alaric D. and Ruth (Danford) Hutchins. She was married to Frank O. Hunt, who died in 1976. She was a graduate of Chateaugay High School and graduated as salutatorian from Adirondack Commercial School in Malone. She was employed at Dufort Brothers Wholesale Grocery Co. for many years. Mrs. Hunt was a member of the Saranac United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of Saranac. She enjoyed bowling and was a former member of the Happy Seniors Bowling League in Plattsburgh. Besides her husband and her parents, an infant daughter, Judith Ann Hunt; and three brothers, Charles, Clarence and Harry Hutchins died before her. Survivors include her son, Frank E. Hunt and his wife, Carole A. Hunt of Granville; one sister, Mrs. John (Frances) Otis of Heuvelton; a grandson, Frank Hunt Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Granville; a granddaughter, Judith A. Taylor and her husband, Ronald of West Pawlet, Vt.; five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Nicole and Gabriella Hunt and Mikayla and Ronald Taylor; and three nephews and two nieces. No calling hours will be scheduled. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Saranac Independence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Saranac United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, the Saranac Rescue Squad or the Granville Rescue Squad. McCullough, 90, of Broadway in Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at The Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. She was born April 3, 1911, in Lake Clear, N.Y. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Fortune - Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Cremation will follow, with burial in Brighton Cemetery in Gabriels in May. Edith Pauline LaPoint, 93, formerly of Wingdale, N.Y., died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at the home of her daughter, Cynthia Kline of New Freedom, Pa., where she has been making her home. She was born in Rouses Point, N.Y., on Oct. 19, 1918, the daughter of Frank and Dora (Phaneuf) LaFave. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Fay Ager of St. Patrick’s Church officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at the Brainardsville Cemetery in Brainardsville. MARY E. DOONAR, 60, of Park Street, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was born June 14, 1941, in Malone, N.Y., the daughter of Kenneth and Anne (Lynch) Doonar. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be announced and celebrated in May 2002 in St. Joseph’s Church in Malone, N.Y. Spring burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fort Covington Street Road, Malone, NY. Funeral arrangements are through St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home. Inc. in Malone, N.Y. Thomas C. Palmer, 53, of Delord Street in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and formerly of Malone, N.Y., died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 8, 2002, at CVPH in Plattsburgh. He had been a patient there since Dec. 12, 2001. He was born in Malone, June 9, 1948, the son of Clayton and Elizabeth (McGee) Palmer. Calling hours will be Friday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Bruso - Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. John Milligan officiating. Burial will be in the Sandy Knoll Cemetery in Chateaugay, N.Y., in the spring. |
