Published: 1/1/02 Dora M. HartKeeseville - Dora M. Hart, 86, formerly of Keeseville, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh. She was born in Keeseville, July 27, 1915, the daughter of Henry and Diana (Gagnon) Gordon. Mrs. Hart was a past member of the Catholic Community of Keeseville Altar Rosary Society and communicant of St. John’s Church. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards and board games. Survivors include three daughters, Veronica DiDomenico of Peru, Mldred VanTieghem of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Paulette Hart of Bristol, Conn.; 12 grandchildren; eight great - grandchildren; one great- great - grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Leo Busha in 1943; her second husband, Alfred Hart in 1962; and sons, Gordon Busha in 1994, and Robert Busha in 1998. There will be no public calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 5. 2002, at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Church in Keeseville, with Rev. Garvin Demarais, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in the spring in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility. Edward W. FountainMorrisonville - Edward W. Fountain, 66, of the Spring Pond Road in Morrisonville, died unexpectedly, Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at hishome. He was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 22, 1935, the son of Paul T. and Katherine (Conway) Fountain. He was a military veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. Edward retired from the Plattsburgh Quarry following many years of service as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boxing. Survivors include two sons, Richard Fountain of Peru and Randy Fountain of Morrisonville; three daughters and one son-in-law, Shari Bressette of Virginia, Mary and Brian Bingle of Plattsburgh and Tracy Bailey of Keeseville; six grandchildren, Rebecca Fountain, Richard Fountain, Michael Rock, Taylor and Robbi Bailey and Daniel Bressette; two great - grandchildren; four brothers, Herbie Fountain of Chazy, Tuffield Fountain of Plattsburgh, Horace Fountain of Peru and Jack Fountain of Plattsburgh; one sister, Joan of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one son, Joseph Fountain; two sisters, Mary and Catherine; and one brother, Orville, who died during the invasion of Normandy. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Peru, with Rev. Vicente Jazmines, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in the spring in the Port Douglas Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. M. Jeanette O’ConnellSYRACUSE — M. Jeanette O’Connell, 91, of Syracuse, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Rosewood Heights Health Center. She was Born in Cadyville, N.Y. She lived in Syracuse since 1927. She graduated from Central City Business Institute. She retired in 1975 from Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation after 45 years. She worked in the customer service and accounting departments. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 43 and Niagara Mohawk Pensioners Club. She is survived by John D. Spencer of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. VirginiaA. WoodliffCHATEAUGAY — VirginiaA. Woodliff, 57, of Lake Street in Chateaugay was pronounced dead on Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y. She was born in Bronx, N.Y., on Aug. 12, 1944, the daughter of Harold and Virginia (Meister) Mason. Mrs.Woodliff is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Craig Bombard of Chateaugay, N.Y.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher and Rebecca Woodliff of Nebraska and John Woodliff of Chateaugay, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Kyle Demers and Brandon Bombard of Chateaugay, N.Y., and Michael and Jacob Woodliff of Nebraska; cousins, Debbie Schlueter of Chateaugay, N.Y., Terri Rankin and Kryn Patnode of Chateaugay, N.Y., Cyndee Contestible of Rochester, N.Y., Meghan Dowd of Rouses Point, N.Y., and Deirdre Dowd of Alfred, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her mother. Virginia graduated from Martin Van Buren High School in Queens, N.Y., and attended two years of college which included North Country Community. She was very active member with the Boy Scouts of America, both local and county wide, and earned several awards including, North Franklin District Award of Merit in 1989, North Franklin Scouter of the Year in 1992, Adirondack Council Silver Beaver Award in 1994 and Tri-District Appreciation Award in 2001. She was a member of the Chateaugay United Methodist Church and active with it’s choir and the Ecumenical Choir. A Memorial Service will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, in Chateaugay United Methodist Church, with Rev. Eleanor Bellows officiating. Cremation took place at Green Mountain Crematory in Middlebury, Vt. Donations in her memory may be made to Boy Scouts of America. Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home in Chateaugay. Michael "Mike" ChangeloAU SABLE FORKS — Michael "Mike" Changelo, 81, of Intervale Avenue, died Dec. 30, 2001, at the Moses Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga. He was born March 11, 1920, in AuSable Forks, the son of Joseph and Irene (Gallo) Changelo. Mike attended AuSable Forks Central Rural School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from October 1942 to October 1945 during World War II. He was with Co. C., 704th Tank Destroyer Battalion, which was in Panama, France, Belgium, Luxembourgh, Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. After his honorable discharge, he was employed for 40 years at the J. & J. Rogers Co., in AuSable Forks. After this was terminated he was janitor for the AuSable Valley School System six years and then he retired. He was a paid up member of the American Legion Post 504 and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8958 both of AuSable Forks. Mike was a communicant of the Holy Name Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Douglas Changelo whom he married May 5, 1947 in AuSable Forks; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rocco and Donna of Wilmington; Dale and Kris of Rouses Point and Michael of Saranac Lake; five grandchildren, Stacy, Meghan, Craig, Nicholas and Anthony; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Vedo and Doris Changelo of Peru and Anthony and Alberta Changelo of North Edwards, Calif.; a niece, Nancy Changelo of Rexford. A brother, Rocco Changelo, predeceased him. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zaumetzer - Sprague Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Holy Name Catholic Church in AuSable Forks. Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Holy Name School or the AuSable Forks Volunteer Ambulance Service, envelopes are at the funeral home. Martha H. PinsonneaultPERU — Martha H. Pinsonneault, 80, of Rt. 9 South 46 Pray Way, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Champlain on Nov. 14, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Delia (Hebert) Trombley. She married Charles Pinsonneault at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain in 1951. Mrs. Pinsonneault was a member of Our Lady Of Victory Church. She worked at Ayerst Laboratory in Rouses Point for 37 years, retiring from the Sterile Products Division in 1986. Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Lillian DeCelle and her husband, Lawrence "Jake" of Beekmantown and Winifred Bechard of Peru. There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Church in Champlain in the spring. Donations may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center in her memory. The R. W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Catherine A. RostakPlattsburgh — Mrs. Catherine A. Rostak, 80, of Riverside Avenue, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Feb. 12, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Wilt) Keller. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. Catherine was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Edward Rostak; a brother, Charles Keller Jr.; and a grandson, Joseph Rostak. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Mary Rostak of Plattsburgh; three daughters and two sons-in- law, Carol and Wayne Beebie of Plattsburgh, Kathleen and Dallas Horstman of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Mary Rostak of Calistoga, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will be at a later date in the family plot in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Friends wishing may have Masses said in her memory.
HOWARD HOMER REANDEAU, 77, passed away peacefully among loved ones on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the home of his daughter in Tupper Lake. He was born on Oct. 6, 1924 in Tupper Lake, one of sixteen children born to Alexander Eli and Mary Jane (LaFave) Reandeau. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the St. Alphonsus Church. Burial with full military honors will be held in May at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. DAPHNE ANN VENERONI, 69, of Massena, N.Y., died at her home in Massena unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001. She was born in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Procter T. and Mary (Powers) LaPlante. Calling hours will be held at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday Jan. 2, 2002, at 10 a.m. at the St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will take place in May at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. ANNA M. CARON, 93, of Lake View Towers, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. FRIEDA IRIS TATRO DECILORAMI GREEN, 73, of Vauxhall Street Extension in Waterford, Conn., died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn. She was born March 20, 1928, in Indian Orchard, Mass., the daughter of Henry and Anne Morgan Tatro. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Avenue in New London, Conn. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in New London. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
